Home early from Springfield, Illinois, and already preparing to head to Ocala in just one week!

The 2026 Mane Event Horse Show was a great one! A big thank you to the horse show management, especially Dan Shirley, for putting on a wonderful event.

A few highlights from our week:

🏆 Ear-resistible made his single appearance count, winning the Open Roadster to Bike for his new owners!

🏆 JL Party made a winning debut in the Limit Roadster to Bike with Steven Yoder for Fran and Ron Tappken!

💰 Sterling Equine earned $28,500 for our customers in the $90,000 Mid-America Trotting Sale class!

🎥 Steven also had the opportunity to appear on the local news, talking about the Mane Event Horse Show, the Roadster division, and the exciting $90,000 class!

A special thank you to Kim and Glen. The horses looked fantastic, and you both drove great! We appreciate all your hard work.

Congratulations to our customers, and thank you to everyone who made it a successful show. Now for a few days at home before we hit the road for Ocala!

Steven Yoder took a moment to talk with the news about the Mane Event Horse Show and the 2026 Mid-America Roadster Challenge!

It’s exciting to see the Roadster division getting some well-deserved attention and to share a little more about this great sport with the community!

Happy Monday! ☀️

The future is looking bright! Rylan Yoder, Steven’s nephew, has clearly been paying attention to his uncle in the show ring! We think he’s got the look down pretty well. Do you see the resemblance?

A special thank you to Willard Yoder for trusting us with PY Stables Champ throughout the 2026 season. We truly appreciate your friendship and the opportunity to work with you.

RWC PY Stables Champ and his half-sister, WC RWCC Queens Flicka, have opened our eyes to the potential of Friesian-Standardbred crosses.

Champ has found new owners and will continue his career as a breeding stallion in 2027. We are excited for what the future holds for this talented horse!

We’re sad to see “Champ” sell and have truly loved our time with him.

We’ve been asked if he’s selling because he didn’t cut it as a show horse, and the answer is absolutely not. At just 5 years old, Champ is already a Reserve World Champion—an accomplishment that is not easy to earn.

Champ is being offered as part of a herd dispersal, and his owner, who loves him dearly, is the one driving him in this video.

We’ll be sad to see him go, and we would absolutely love to see him back in our barn someday.

THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY YOU DON’T SEE EVERY DAY.

RWC THE CHAMP sells at PUBLIC AUCTION — OCTOBER 6!

Just 5 years old, Champ did something pretty remarkable in 2026. He completed his first year in the show ring, earning a Reserve World’s Championship, all while standing at stud and breeding 88 mares!

Throughout the season, Champ was shown successfully by two amateurs and one professional, proving just how versatile and willing he is. He’s also been driven by many fans, including a 13-year-old, and takes it all in stride.

Champ loves attention, has a personality as big as he is, and truly aims to please. Whether it’s in the show ring, the breeding shed, or simply spending time with his people, he’s the kind of horse that makes you want to be around him.

Show horse. Breeding stallion. And only five years old.

🏆 RWC Amateur Gentlemen Roadster to Bike — Div. 2
Sander Vant Sonnis x A Rosie Secret

As part of his owner’s complete herd dispersal, The Champ will sell to the public on October 6.

His story is just getting started. Who’s going to write the next chapter? 👀
