Sweet little Goober, now Rudy, has officially found his forever family, and we couldn’t be happier for all of them. He came to us in July from the Terrebonne Parish animal shelter. Every unwanted pet should have the same ending as this sweet angel. Welcome to your new life Rudy💙🥂

When we agreed to pull Paisley from the overcrowded shelter in Crowley several weeks ago, we knew we were saving her life, as they were making difficult decisions to make room for a hoarding case they took in. They had told us how sweet she was, but we weren’t prepared for how sweet this little angel truly is. Paisley is probably one of the sweetest dogs we have ever pulled into our rescue program, and her foster mother cannot say enough good things about her. She adores every human she meets, including children of all sizes, other dogs, and cats. We have spayed her, vaccinated, and microchipped her. She is going through heartworm treatment right now, and that is part of her adoption fee because we cover the entire cost. If you’re looking for the sweetest little companion who will get along with every one and every animal in your house, Paisley is the girl for you 💕💕 She is absolute perfection in every sense of the word. Life hasn’t been kind to her previously, and she deserves the most amazing home for the rest of her life. Could that be you? Give us a call at 504-671-8235 for more information, and visit our website at southernanimalfoundation.org to fill out an application.

These 2 absolutely precious, and equally as sweet baby boys, were dumped together on Tchoupitoulas over the weekend, and someone temporarily took them in to keep them safe. When they reached out to us to help them, we happily said yes! How could we say no to these adorable faces?!! Both boys are about 8-9 months old, and full grown. Dean is the smaller baby at 14 pounds, and Joshua is 17 pounds. And yes, they are named after Dolly’s late husband, and her first solo, number-one country hit song. They are both heartworm negative, but will need to be retested in six months. They have been vaccinated and dewormed. We will neuter and microchip them next week. Dean and Joshua are a bonded pair, so we won’t accept any applications that aren’t for both of them. They adore one another, so if you have room in your heart and your home for these two precious baby boys, please let us know. They get along with other dogs, and love everyone they meet. You can give us a call at 504-671-8235, for more information, and as always, go to our website to fill an application at southernanimalfoundation.org

They can’t wait to meet you💙💙

Boston Terrier lovers, where are you?? We have the most perfect angel we pulled from JPAS, and she needs her forever home!! Her name is Mishka, and she’s a little over a year old, and 32 pounds. She adores other dogs, and doesn’t seem to mind cats. Mishka is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and we are treating her for heartworms at no cost to her foster or adopter. Sadly, she was found as a stray, and never claimed so when they asked us to take her, we welcomed her into our program. If you choose to foster her, it doesn’t cost you a thing as we provide all of her necessary supplies and needs. If you have room in your heart and your home for this precious baby girl, please let us know for more information, give us a call at 504-671-8235. As always, applications can be found on our website at southernanimalfoundation.org
She’ll be patiently waiting for you💕💕

UPDATE!! LORI IS GOING TO A LABRADOR RESCUE!!

We were just made aware of poor Lori’s plight. Sadly, she had rescue, but the volunteers in Ville Platte were unable to find her a foster for two weeks. Unfortunately, the rescue pulled out. We are literally begging for a foster for this sweet baby, to save her life. Could you be her life saver? She’s super dog friendly, spayed and heartworm negative!! Lori is also on monthly preventative. We will microchip her when she gets to us. Please please go to our website to fill out an application at southernanimalfoundation.org
