I'm trying out an oxymel recipe. We have a lot of herbs in the garden right now, plus I have an abundance of almost empty or crystallized jars of honey in the cabinet. Add some of the ACV I made last fall, and oxymel was the logical choice!

Oxymel is used for marinades or salad dressings, but can also be mixed with water or sparkling water for a refreshing tonic.

I mixed up three different blends using sweet basil, Thai basil, tarragon, lemon verbena, and oregano. I'm especially excited for the Thai basil/tarragon/lemon verbena blend!😋 And even though it's only been a few hours (it'll be 2 to 3 weeks before the oxymel is ready), they all already smell AMAZING!!

Whether you spell it luffa or loofah, these beauties are starting to come in! Luffa is the sponge that grows in the garden, and they thrive in our long, hot, humid summers. I love peeling them--volume up for the satisfying sound--and thought you might like to see how it happens. Enjoy!
