💩 SHOUTOUT TO STEADY SCOOP 💩

Steady Scoop very generously volunteered their time to give Candlewoof a much-needed cleanup — which is amazing, because apparently some people have been operating under the belief that dog p**p disappears if they walk away from it.

Spoiler: it does not.

We’re incredibly grateful to Steady Scoop for donating their time and helping get the park cleaned up. They also offer residential pet waste removal, so if your backyard is starting to look less like a yard and more like a minefield, give them a call or visit their website: https://steadyscoop.com

And before anyone gets too excited: this does not mean you can stop picking up after your dog at the park. Steady Scoop is giving us a helping hand — they are not Candlewoof’s designated p**p patrol

There really is no excuse for leaving it behind. Candlewoof provides dog waste bags throughout the park, and those bags are paid for through members’ dues. Please use them. They are free, conveniently located, and specifically designed for the shocking emergency of your dog p**ping.

Earlier this year, we applied for funding through the Town of New Milford’s Non-Profit Funding program. Unfortunately, our application was not selected for funding this cycle. We completely understand that there were many deserving organizations and limited funds available, and we appreciate the opportunity to apply.

We’re sharing this because we think it’s important for our community to know how Candlewoof is funded. Candlewoof is a nonprofit dog park that relies on memberships, donations, fundraising, sponsorships, and volunteers to keep the park maintained and available to our community.

Every membership really does matter — it helps pay for the everyday things that keep the park running, from maintenance and supplies to improvements and repairs.

If you use and enjoy Candlewoof, please consider becoming a member, renewing your membership, donating, or simply sharing our page. 🐶❤️
