Joyful Golden Retrievers JGR is dedicated to raising top quality Light Cream Golden Retrievers. We health test all our females & studs to include OFA hips, elbows, eyes, & cardiac.

We genetic test for NCL5, Ichthyosis, DM: SODA1A. AKC registered. Good Dog Certified.

💜 FROM JOYFUL PUPPY TO SERVICE DOG IN TRAINING 💜

This is “B” and his girl, Everly—and their story represents something incredibly special to all of us at Joyful Golden Retrievers.

When we plan a litter, our goal has never been simply to produce beautiful Golden Retrievers. We breed intentionally for health, temperament, confidence, intelligence, trainability and a strong connection with people. These qualities make wonderful family dogs—and, in the right dog, can create the foundation for something extraordinary: service work.

We have made a commitment to hold the first male puppy from each litter and give him the opportunity to be evaluated for future service work. We work closely with The Tallman Family Foundation and service dog trainer Miranda at MultiSport K9 to give these special boys that opportunity.

“B” is one of several Joyful boys working in our communities! 🐾💜

“B” is currently training alongside Everly, who lives with epilepsy. Service work requires so much more than learning commands. It takes confidence, focus, patience, trainability and an incredible connection with their person.

With “B” and Everly, we see all of it. Behind the training and the vest is something even more special—a relationship built on trust. 💜

As breeders, we spend years thinking about pedigrees, health testing, temperament and the decisions that will shape future generations of Joyful Goldens.

Then we see a puppy who once fit in our hands growing into a dog who may help give a young girl greater confidence, companionship and independence.

That’s a pretty incredible purpose for one little puppy. 💜

We are so proud of Everly & “B” and grateful to be a small part of their story.

Four weeks of Bo & Luke! 🐾💙🧡

We have entered the fun stage! Bo and Luke are walking, playing, wrestling and becoming more curious about everything around them!

They’re a little personalities are really starting to shine, and they are so much more interested in people, toys, and exploring the world.They are also finding their voices – and those tiny barks are getting a little more confident every day!

This is the age when their world really begins to expand, so we’re introducing new sounds, surfaces, toys and experiences, while giving them plenty of opportunities to explore and build confidence at their own pace.

And of course, when you only have one brother to play with….you make sure he gets all your attention!🐾🧡💙
