And….. to round out an incredible weekend, Tiger and Storm went to their PURRever home today… together!!!!! 🐾❤️

Why love one when you can love two?

These best buddies packed their bags and headed off to begin their next chapter side by side, just as it should be. There is something extra special about seeing two shelter friends find a family willing to open their hearts and home to both of them.

Happy trails, Tiger and Storm! May your days be filled with sunny windows, cozy naps, endless treats, and all the love you deserve. Thank you to their new family for giving not one, but two deserving cats the forever home they’ve been waiting for.

Stories like this remind us exactly why we do what we do. 🐾💕

Our staff and shelter animals at WCAS had another busy and wonderful weekend! 🐾❤️

Yesterday, they had the opportunity to attend the Wetzel County Sheriff’s Picnic, where they soaked up plenty of attention, belly rubs, treats, and love from the community.

We are incredibly grateful to be included in so many amazing events throughout the season. Every outing helps raise awareness about pet adoption, responsible pet ownership, and the wonderful animals waiting for families of their own.

The momentum continues, and so does our mission to help these deserving pets find the loving homes they deserve.

What a wonderful day the WCAS animals had on Friday morning when the 4-H camp kids stopped by with special homemade treats, cuddles, and plenty of love! 🐾💕
We can promise you this—the animals enjoyed every second, every interaction, every hug, and every delicious treat just as much as the kids did. Watching these connections form is a beautiful reminder of the impact kindness and compassion can have on both people and pets.
Thank you to the 4-H camp participants, leaders, and families for continuing this wonderful tradition year after year. Your generosity, smiles, and caring hearts mean more than you know to the animals in our care as they await their forever homes.
We can’t wait to see you again! 🐶🐱❤️

Sometimes, fate steps in… and that is exactly what happened to Josh—now known as Duke! 🐾❤️
We always knew he would find his FURever home at just the right time. Duke has a way of touching every heart he meets. He loves everyone, is incredibly smart, and is simply one of those dogs you never forget.
Recently, Sarah Morgan visited the shelter with her 4-H camp baking students to deliver homemade dog treats for our shelter residents. What started as a thoughtful visit quickly became something much more special. Duke worked his magic, and it wasn’t long before Sarah knew she needed to bring the rest of the family back to meet him.
The family returned—and they absolutely did NOT leave without their newest family member!
Just look at how regal and proud Duke looks in his adoption photo and how lovingly and grateful he looks up at them for rescuing him. It is clear he knows he is exactly where he belongs.
Happy trails, Duke. May your days be filled with love, treats, adventures, and all the happiness a good boy deserves. Thank you, Morgan family, for opening your hearts and home to this very special boy. 🏡🐕💙
