Let me tell you a bit about my training style. I’m a balanced trainer which means I believe in both positive and negative consequences. The way I like to explain it is it’s 90% positive feedback and 10% knock that sh% # off! I believe both positive and negative consequences are necessary to help you dog understand the rules boundaries, and limitations that allow your dog to live the fullest life possible.
The basics for me are addressing all the little moments in the dogs life to build a respectful relationship. This means a permission based lifestyle. This translates into making the dog wait or follow a command before getting access to freedoms. These freedoms can include space, affection, access to food, and others privileges.
If this seems like the training style that works for you, I’ll be happy to talk to you more.
I’d also like to add that I’m a pet/family dog trainer. I don’t work with dogs with significant aggression towards people or other dogs. (Significant being the main word- I can work with dogs who have some reactivity issues).
