Athens, that’s a wrap!! 🐩🏆🎀

Dozer apparently decided he likes collecting blue ribbons because he went 1st in both of his classes again today, 💙🥇followed by Reserve in BOTH! 🤍🥈 At this point, I think he’s just trying to see how many ribbons he can bring home before I run out of wall space. 😂

Our very first show together is officially in the books!! 🥹 We both have some homework before the spring shows. Dozer needs a little more practice free stacking, and I need to learn how to handle my dog without looking like I’m trying to remember 47 instructions while simultaneously remembering how to walk. 🤣 But overall, I couldn’t be happier with our first weekend in the ring together!

HUGE shoutout to my sister, aka my emotional support traveler, professional dog runner, photographer, personal assistant, and occasional keeper of my sanity. 😂👏🏼 She was ON IT this weekend!! I seriously couldn’t have done it without her. These weekends together are always so special, and I’m thankful we get to make these memories together. ❤️

Another HUGE thank you to Kelly Knight for all the constructive feedback, tips, and encouragement on my handling, grooming, and everything in between! I truly appreciate having someone willing to help me learn, improve, and grow! 🥹

And of course, Kim and Chuck, thank you for being our personal cheerleading squad!! 📣😂 We appreciate you both so much, and y’all did an amazing job this weekend too!!

We came, we showed, we learned, we laughed, and I probably overthought just about everything. 🤣 But I would do it all over again!

Dozer decided he wasn’t done collecting ribbons just yet! 🤣🏆

He took 1st place AGAIN this morning, followed by another 1st in the second ring, then went on to win Best Male AND Best of Winners! 🥹💙

I think somewhere toward the end, Dozer and I finally started figuring out what we were supposed to be doing. 😂 He’s learning how to be a show dog, and I’m learning how to look like I know what I’m doing on the other end of the leash! 🤣

Praying we can both remember everything we learned today and carry it into tomorrow! 🤞🏼🐩💕

Meanwhile, I’m over here trying to remember how to breathe, where to stand, and what the heck I’m supposed to be doing. 🤣🫣

Praying the judges love him just a little more tomorrow and that the Lord blesses me with some nerves of steel because WHEW… we’re BOTH learning the ropes! 😂🙏🏼💗
