Remember Sasha’s first swim? Well, she’s been practicing. 🐾

Last time, I said she looked ready to do it all over again. She’s making good on that: straight into the water, out for a paddle, and back to shore with a stick in her mouth.

She’s still got a pretty splashy swimming style, but look at her go! I love getting to watch that confidence grow, one outing at a time.

Way to go, Sasha. I think swimming is officially on your list. 🥰

Sasha’s first swim! 🐾💦

She waded in, found her paddle, and swam back to shore while her friends watched. I love seeing a dog try something new and realize, one splash at a time, that she’s got this.

The sun keeps clocking out earlier. Your dog, unfortunately, has not received the memo.

So, Tom's Dogs is introducing Night Hikes. 🌙🐾

As the days get shorter and the weather cools down, we're opening up evening walks and outings for dogs who still need to move, sniff, explore, and get some energy out after sunset.

Night Hikes are especially helpful if you're getting home from work after dark, your dog has been waiting all day for their walk, or you simply don't love the idea of walking alone at night.

Routes are chosen based on your dog, the weather, and visibility, using neighborhood sidewalks, well-lit streets, and other suitable walking areas. We'll be equipped with reflective gear, headlamps, secure leashes, and extra attention around traffic and intersections.

Because earlier sunsets shouldn't mean shorter walks.

It's their walk, not ours.

We're currently organizing fall and winter evening routes throughout New London, Waterford, East Lyme, Niantic, Old Lyme, Groton, and Mystic.

New clients are welcome.

A good pack hike is not just putting dogs on a trail together.

It starts before we ever get out of the car: who is comfortable with whom, who needs space, who settles into movement, who benefits from a steady trail rhythm instead of a quick loop around the block.

Some days are about covering ground. Some days are about sniffing, thinking, and coming home satisfied instead of wound up. The point is to give each dog the kind of outing that actually makes sense for them.

It’s their walk, not ours.

Your dog’s weekday could look like this.

Time on the trail, plenty to sniff, and good company. I match our hiking groups thoughtfully and pay attention to what each dog needs along the way.

I handle pickup, the hike, and getting everyone home. You get photos and a report from our outing.

In New London, Groton, Niantic, or Mystic? DM me **“HIKE”** with your town and a little about your dog. We’ll talk about your schedule, pickup availability, and whether the pack would be a good fit.
