BASIL BULLETIN
Hey guys, Basil here. From my usual perch at the clinic window, I’ve seen a lot of patients come and go—but sweet Fergie’s story is one I won’t forget anytime soon. At the beginning of 2025, she began losing mobility in her rear legs, and it wasn’t long before getting around became a real challenge. I watched as her human tried everything—different supports, devices, and ideas—all in hopes of helping her move comfortably again.
But when nothing seemed quite right, he did something remarkable. He decided to build his own solution. Piece by piece, with patience he crafted a homemade wheelchair designed just for Fergie.
Before long, Fergie was back to exploring, her wheels carrying her where her legs could not. From my vantage point, it was clear: this wasn’t just about mobility. It was about love, determination, and a bond strong enough to inspire real ingenuity. And as the clinic cat, I consider myself an excellent judge of character—Fergie and her human? Simply exceptional.
