rice crispy treat recipe for dogs!!
No-Bake Rice Cereal Crunch Squares for dogs with Low-Sugar Binding and Light Energy Boost
Ingredients:
* 3 cups (90 g) plain puffed rice cereal (unsweetened, no added sugar or artificial sweeteners)
* 1/2 cup (120 g) natural peanut butter (xylitol-free, unsalted, stirred well)
* 1/4 cup (60 g) pumpkin purée (unsweetened, plain)
* 2 tbsp (30 ml) warm water (to help loosen mixture if needed)
Supplements:
* None
Instructions:
1. Line an 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) pan with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter and pumpkin purée. Stir until smooth and evenly blended.
3. If mixture is very thick, add 1 tablespoon (15 ml) warm water at a time until it becomes stirrable but still thick.
4. Add puffed rice cereal and fold gently until all cereal is evenly coated.
5. Transfer mixture to prepared pan and press firmly into an even layer about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick.
6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set and firm.
7. Lift out using parchment and cut into small squares similar to the image. Keep portions small for safe treating.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Freeze up to 2 months. Thaw in refrigerator before serving.

last pool cam photo dump. whew!!! i saved you from having to see me in all my diff jammies 🙃 and only posted pics of the dogs. 😍
you will see quite a few with a doe in the background. she has spent all summer out here by the kenl with dogs, and she ate my veggie garden this year. 😭

pool cam videos. the balls trigger the camera which means i had dozens of video of floating balls, quite calming to watch actually 😂 perhaps i should send the to dogtv, i know a few labs that would be entranced watching them. 😂

Pool cam day. Just one camera had over 6,000 pics on it!!! I would say the pool area is a very popular hangout. Here is just a few (63 pics)

Holy cow!! i finally pulled the "pool cams", just one camera had over 6,000 pics 😂the pool is a very busy place. Here's proof i do scrub it out regularly. I run a pump at night to keep the water moving, use copper plates and have the shade over it, all these things help to keep algae to a minimum.

**BLIZZARD & JETHRO HERE, AND WE NEED TO TALK.** 🐾🚨

Specifically, to all you **giant and large-breed dog parents**...

WHY—*and we cannot stress this enough*—are you sending your majestic, fluffy, long-legged, big-booty babies on vacation to stay in a **4' x 3' indoor box?!** 😳

EXCUSE US?!?!

That's not a vacation. **That's a sardine can with a water bowl.** 🐟😂

Listen. We are BIG dogs. We need room to stretch, flop, turn around dramatically, and generally take up way more space than necessary.

📞 **CALL OUR MOM. SERIOUSLY.**

She runs the **oldest boarding business in the area**, and she's been doing this for **30 YEARS**, so yeah... she knows a thing or two about dogs. 😎

Here at **Lazy J's Dog Boarding**, we have **6 roomy kennels**:

🐾 **INDOOR + OUTDOOR access**

That's right. **ROOM TO DOG.** 🙌

Big ones. Little ones. Squeaky ones. Weird-textured ones. Every color imaginable.

Honestly, the guests around here have **an absolutely ridiculous amount of fun.**

Yep. **THIRTY. YEARS.**

Not to brag...

Okay, we're totally bragging. 😏

Animal Caretaker
Job Description
The animal caretaker is responsible for the daily operations of Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter and reports to the Board of Directors. This position requires evenings & weekends. This is a physical job which requires the ability to handle large dogs, cats and supplies.
Job Responsibilities
· Under the direction of the Board of directors, the employee is responsible for the overall administration of Chasing Daylight’s mission.
· Responsible for all components of daily operations.
· Assists with orientation of volunteers.
· Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
· Responsible for working with volunteers in regular care and cleaning shifts.
· Ensures cleaning protocols are followed properly.
· Responsible for animal care: maintaining accurate health and vet records, scheduling vet exams and surgery, dispensing medication per prescription and/or recommendation of veterinarian.
· Use Animal Shelter Manager Software to be responsible for resident inventory; record keeping of; intakes, return to owner, adoptions, transfers, deaths.
· Assist with overall process of adoption applications and animal placement.
· Assist with inventory on all supplies.
· Enforcement of all shelter policies enacted by the Board of Directors.
· Assist with professional relationships with businesses, organizations and municipal governments.
· Assist with fostering relationships with the community.
· Assist with fundraising events.
· Assist with maintaining relationships with other local animal welfare organizations.
Qualifications
· Work or volunteer experience at an animal shelter, veterinary clinic or boarding kennel required.
· Ability to work without supervision.
· Professional, pleasant public image.
· Computer literate and ability to operate office equipment.
· Excellent oral, written and organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Able to work flexible hours which will include evenings and weekends.
· Physical needs: ability to sit, stand, bend or kneel for an extended period of time, ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments in all weather and ability to restrain 100 plus pound animals.
· Passion for the mission of Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter and animal welfare.
Work Environment
· Working conditions include possible exposure to dangerous, diseased, frightened and injured animals. Possible exposure to potentially harmful chemicals and drugs.
· Emotional demands include animal abuse and animal neglect.
