ColdSprings Labradors Here at ColdSprings we are hobby farmers, with a small group of Labradors in our breeding program.

ColdSprings has been a work in progress for the past 10years, and I am very proud of how it has come along. I have a small breeding program consisting of eight Labradors. All of which our house dogs and members of our family first and foremost. I have picked each of these guys because I feel they excel in some area that defines them as amazing examples of the breed. Everyone here has obedience titles, and their health clearances completed at the appropriate age. We have about two litters a year, with the main goal being that the pups in the end go on to do amazing things. My main goal is producing dogs that are sound- mind and body, a good majority of the go on to become working dogs- be it hunting or service work, as well as many are very loved family members. The pups are raised in a stimulating environment with children, other animals and lots of exposure to environmental ingredients the end goal being that you have a more trainable dog.

Last night was epic....

I was invited to stand and present about the Coldsprings Healing Paws Foundation mission.... service and facilty dogs... changing lives one at a time. Over 100 women... homemakers, business women, retirees all who believe in women supporting women.

It got me thinking, in the thick of this wild ride of training sometimes the drive gets washed out by the busy schedule, long days, never saying no to a need or an event. Sometimes right on the verge of this is too much. But then just when I am doubting myself humans rally and bring back the spark.

Then there is this simple picture of my sidekick... clearly hanging onto to every word in a hot crowded event. Listen to my mom... it reminded me that the reason we do all this comes right back to the belief to my core that all things improve with a dog...
Heart rate lowers
Cortisol evens out
Su***de rates decrease
Independence becomes less scary
Reading flows more easily
Doctors visits are not so stressful
And the list goes on...
The power of a working dog is absolutely endless.

Thank you for making Coldsprings so known, so supported... truly. 🥰
