A little dose of cuteness to brighten up a dreary week—and a perfect reminder of how important those very first veterinary visits really are. 💙🐾

Puppy and kitten wellness exams are about so much more than a quick look. At this stage, we’re focused on setting the foundation for a healthy life: checking overall growth and development, discussing nutrition, starting deworming and parasite prevention when appropriate, and mapping out a vaccine schedule tailored to your pet’s needs. It’s also the perfect time to answer all the new-pet questions—sleeping, feeding, behavior, and what “normal” actually looks like in these early weeks.

These early visits are where prevention begins, and where we get to partner with you in raising a healthy, happy companion from the very start. ✨️

Say hello to Henry, one of our regular stars here at STAH! ❤️

This sweet guy visits us for laser therapy with Candi and our team, as we help support him through a suspected ACL tear.

Laser therapy is a gentle, non-invasive way to help reduce discomfort, improve mobility, and support healing—perfect for pups like Henry who still have a lot of cuddles and adventures ahead of them! 🐶✨

We love seeing his progress and his tail-wagging determination every visit. Keep going, Henry—you’ve got a whole team cheering you on! 💪🐾

Some kittens bring their favorite toy when they board...

Kitt brought her owner's shoe. 😆👟🐱

Not a mouse. Not a ball. Not a fancy cat toy.

Just one very special shoe that apparently made her feel right at home! ❤️

We love getting to know the unique personalities of our boarding guests, and Kitt definitely kept us smiling during her stay. Sometimes the simplest things are a pet's greatest comfort.

Does your pet have an unusual favorite toy? Tell us in the comments!

Tiny paws, big adventures ahead. 🐾✨

Sweet Luna, a Persian kitten, visited us recently for her very first kitty appointment, and we are so excited to be part of her journey from these tiny days all the way through her senior years.

Early veterinary care helps build the foundation for a lifetime of health — from wellness exams and vaccines to nutrition, prevention, and creating positive experiences from the very beginning.

At STAH, we believe in setting the standard for lifelong pet care, one pal at a time. ❤️

Bixley came in recently for a spa day and left feeling fresh, clean, and comfortable. 🛁✨

Hairless cats like Bixley need regular bathing to help remove natural oils and keep their skin healthy and irritation-free. Gentle care and the right handling make all the difference in keeping them happy and stress-free during grooming.

Another good day of keeping our patients feeling their best. 💙

As our pets grow older, their needs change — and routine veterinary care becomes more important than ever. ❤️

Senior pets can be experts at hiding discomfort, which is why regular wellness exams, lab work, dental care, and monitoring mobility changes can make a huge difference in their quality of life.

At STAH, we’re here to help your best friend stay comfortable, healthy, and happy through every stage of life. Because every pet deserves the very best care. 🐾

While gardens, flower beds, and planters are beautiful this time of year, some common plants — including edible garden favorites — can be harmful to pets.

Plants such as lilies, azaleas, sago palms, onions, garlic, and certain peppers may cause illness if chewed or ingested by dogs and cats.

Symptoms of plant toxicity in pets may include, but are not limited to:

• Drooling or foaming at the mouth
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Loss of appetite
• Lethargy or weakness
• Tremors, wobbliness, or seizures
• Pale gums or signs of abdominal pain

When in doubt, keep plants out of reach and research pet safety before planting or bringing new greenery home.

If you think your pet may have eaten a toxic plant, contact us right away ➡️ (337) 364-2811

Let’s make our long gardening season both beautiful and safe for every member of the family—pets included.
