5 WEEKS OLD 🐾
Five weeks has arrived, and these babies have officially graduated to their weaning pen! They now have the freedom to come and go between their indoor and outdoor areas as they please—and, unsurprisingly, they have made it very clear that inside is the preferred location. 😂
They are, without a doubt, some of the best babies. At this age, we’re usually starting to hear plenty of demand barking and see a lot more opinions developing, but this group continues to be remarkably quiet, patient, and easygoing. Their little personalities, however, are really starting to emerge, and we are getting a much better glimpse of who each puppy is becoming.
Lark — Our most confident girl. She approaches everything with an “I’ve got this” attitude and is always ready to investigate.
Merlin — Funny boy who is starting to find his voice. He has recently discovered that barking at me while he plays is apparently a very entertaining activity. 😂
Raven — Sassy girl with just enough attitude to keep things interesting. She particularly enjoys taunting me and then acting like she has absolutely no idea what I’m talking about.
Falcon — Officially known as “Mr. Grumsters.” He perpetually looks like he has a complaint to file, but underneath that serious little face is one of the sweetest, gentlest babies in the group.
Hawk — If there is a lap available, Hawk intends to occupy it. He is happiest when he is right in the middle of whatever I’m doing—or better yet, being held.
Ducky — Tiny but mighty. She has absolutely mastered the puppy-dog eyes and knows exactly how to use them. Put those two little front feet up on the gate and look at me? She knows what she’s asking for: pick me up.
Kestrel — My serious little boy. He likes to take everything in before fully committing, but once you break through that shell, the class clown comes out and he is a completely different puppy.
Wren — Always the first to greet me and always ready to ask to be held. She has quickly figured out that being first gets you noticed.
Pipit — Sassy, opinionated, and absolutely convinced that everyone should be paying attention to her. Her current motto seems to be: “Look at me.” And honestly, she makes a pretty good case for it.
Five weeks is such a fun turning point. We’re seeing more independence, more interaction, more exploration, and—most importantly—more of the individual dogs they are becoming.
They may still be little, but the personalities are BIG. ❤️
Another week closer to seeing what these babies have to offer the world. 🐾
