There has been some changes internally on the plans for opening up again in the fall of 27. I'm honestly not sure if that will still be the plan. I honestly feel as though we need a reliable source for reptiles and reptile supplies in the New Iberia area. At the same time, I'm unsure if I want to take on this responsibility solely on my own again. I know there is some buzz going on around town with me considering reopening, so I know there is excitement built up for it. I stopped by the local petsmart the other day and one of the employees ran up to me, literally across the store and asked if I was going to be reopening, because that is what he had heard. I am just honestly unsure if it is something I want to take on, on my own again. I will keep everyone updated on what I plan to do, even if it is just a few animals and a couple of clutches a year. I know there's a need for what I do in the area. I'm just unsure if that need is enough to keep me afloat on the business side of things.

The shopping list for next fall. My goal this time around is to be the go to for clowns locally. I will be nearly breeding strictly the clown morph. I have a pricing strategy I'm thinking about using and I think it will help everyone who is interested in getting into ball pythons be able to do that. Before I shut down the store on Vicnaire, there was discussion about me doing educational classes a couple times a week on ball python care, feedings, etc. I think i am going to act upon that this time around. Education equals understanding and i think some people who are maybe scared of snakes could come by and learn about them and not be so scared. We have not decided on a location as of yet but it will be outside of the city limits due to the amount of taxes and red tape I had to deal with on Vicnaire. I am planning a full service reptile shop. I'm working on vendors for coco, stats, rodents, etc. The last time I had supply issues due to it being a spur of the moment start up. 3 deep freezers kicked the bucket on me. There were issues. Lol. I'm trying to avoid these mistakes this time around. Stay tuned, big things are on the horizon!

Happy Friday everyone! We promise new things in the new year, and here is where we are heading. We are currently gearing up to get into the aquatic market. We currently have two pairs of angelfish that are spawning regularly. They haven't quite learned the ropes on raising the fry yet, but they are trying. If you are into fish, various snail species, or live aquatic plants, that is the direction we are currently heading. We are going to give our fishy friends the same care and top-notch quality we did as a reptile breeder. It will take some time to set up accounts and vendors for aquatic supplies, but we plan on possibly being fully operational at least online by March. We feel as though we can offer high quality aquatic species cheaper than the big box stores. The pricing it looks as though we will get from vendors will definitely put us lower than your petco's and petsmarts. We are in no way, shape, or form going to try to compete with any other local aquatic store in the area. If anything, we are going to work with them to make us both successful. To do this, I am going to offer brands that other local stores do not. Let's say local shop a carries fluval items. I will in turn carry seachem items. If that same shot carries hygger lights, I will carry aquaneat lights. I'm going to let customers decide who they will shop with based on brand preference and shop choice. Not pricing. I do not want to create competition between local shops.

Due to the fact I need them gone soon, I cannot do payment plans on these animals. As soon as the snakes are sold, I will have another six tub rack up for sale.
