Volunteers Needed - Zanesville
The Chatty Cat Cafe
🐾 **A little Chatty Cat update + WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!** ♥️
We have some exciting things happening behind the scenes through The Chatty Cat Compassion Fund, our 501c3 nonprofit!
Thanks to new access to local low-cost spay & neuter, we're preparing to **expand our cat-care and intake space** — giving us the infrastructure to support even more cats through our shelter & rescue partnerships. 🥹♥️
But more cats = **more hands needed BEFORE we grow.** 👏
We're currently recruiting for:
🐱 **General Cat Care Volunteers** — our biggest needs are the following dedicated weekly shifts:
• Friday at 4 PM
• Saturday at 5 PM
• Sunday at 10 AM
🩺 **Cat Wellness Volunteer** — individually observing our cats and documenting their current health & wellness. Interview + additional training required. Flexible Schedule but once a week commitment.
💉 **Cat Health Assistant Volunteer** — working alongside an experienced volunteer and learning more about vaccines, deworming, records, weights and shelter health. **Perfect for someone interested in veterinary, shelter or animal-related careers!** Relevant experience preferred.
🧼 **Sanitizing Volunteer** — one flexible but consistent evening each week dedicated to deeper sanitation of cat spaces, carriers & equipment.
✨ We're ALSO building a more structured volunteer training program, with opportunities to learn more about feline health, behavior, Fear Free practices, shelter care, disease prevention and animal welfare!
