Sometimes the happiest beginnings are the ones that end the fastest… and leave the deepest echoes.
Cassy and Garret’s journey to parenthood began with hope that felt unshakable. After overcoming serious health challenges, Cassy received the all-clear to try for a baby — and soon, that dream turned into something even more extraordinary: twins.
What followed was pure joy. Baby names, nursery plans, tiny clothes, and two little lives imagined with love at every step. Everything felt like it was finally falling into place.
But at just 22 weeks, everything changed in an instant.
Cassy went into sudden, unexpected labor, and what should have been months of anticipation turned into an emergency no one was ready for.
In a moment that split their world in two, baby Logan Alexander was born first — briefly alive, deeply loved, and held by his parents before passing away.
Soon after, baby Oliver Daniel arrived, also far too early to survive for long, yet surrounded by the same overwhelming love and tenderness.
In those fragile hours, Cassy and Garret did everything a family could do — hold them, name them, love them, and say goodbye far too soon.
Their story reflects the painful reality many families face with extreme prematurity, where hope and heartbreak exist side by side, often in the same breath.
Logan and Oliver may have lived only briefly, but they remain forever part of their family’s story — loved beyond time, and remembered beyond words.
