These toys have been our Doods' absolute favorites since the day they arrived on the doorstep. They carry them everywhere and often hide them in their kennels to keep each other from stealing them 🤣 They seem so sturdy and still look practically brand new, which is amazing since our dogs are rather tough on their toys. Highly recommended for aggressive chewers.

The first time I realized my dog was basically inhaling food instead of eating it, I actually thought something was wrong with him.

I’d put the bowl down… turn around to grab my coffee… and by the time I looked back it was completely empty. Like vacuum-cleaner empty.

Then came the side effects most dog owners probably know too well — the weird hiccup burps, the occasional coughing, and that ā€œdid he even chew?ā€ feeling after every meal.

I tried spreading the food out on a tray.
I tried smaller portions.
I even tried hand feeding for a while (which lasted about two days before I gave up).

Then someone in a dog group mentioned these maze-style bowls that slow dogs down. I honestly didn’t expect much, but I figured it was worth a try.

The first night we used it, my dog actually had to work his way around the little paths to get the kibble. Instead of finishing dinner in ten seconds, he was sniffing, nudging, and carefully picking pieces out.

Now meals last a few minutes instead of a few seconds… and the post-dinner hiccups are basically gone.

Watching him happily puzzle through his dinner every evening is honestly kind of adorable.

If anyone’s curious about the bowl I found, just ask and I’ll share it. 🐶

Behind a set of heavy bars, there might be an English Bulldog with a squished face pressed gently against the metal, waiting for someone who never comes šŸ’” He snores softly on a thin blanket, dreaming of couches he’s never seen and backyards he’s never smelled. His world is four walls, a food bowl, and the echo of other dogs hoping too.

Bulldogs pretend to be tough, but they’re soft hearts wrapped in wrinkles. They were made to waddle after their humans, to snore through movie nights, to drape their heavy heads across a favorite lap. A cement floor can’t hold their joy; it only holds them back. No Bulldog’s paws should spend years pacing the same small square.

Imagine his whole body wiggling when a volunteer stops at his kennel. The hopeful eyes. The way he leans so hard into that first head rub you’d think he’s trying to climb through the bars. Dogs don’t understand ā€œovercrowdedā€ or ā€œunderfunded.ā€ They just know the difference between being chosen and being left.

Senior Bulldogs are often overlooked — too old, too slow, too much medical care. But ask anyone who’s adopted one: nothing compares to the gratitude of a Bulldog who finally has a sofa to drool on and a person to follow from room to room šŸ”

Can’t adopt? You can still fight for them. Share their profiles. Sponsor their medications. Foster for a weekend to give them a break from the noise. Show people that the dog they keep scrolling past might be the one who would change their life forever.

If you believe no English Bulldog — no dog at all — should ever blow out their last candle inside a shelter, flood this with ā¤ļø. Let’s move them from kennel numbers to family nicknames, from shelter intake photos to ā€œfirst night homeā€ selfies.

I need to send a massive thank you to whoever posted about this angry little octopus toy, and my dog owes you one too. My dog treats every plush toy like an absolute joke—he either rips them to shreds in five minutes or turns them into a gross, soggy, slobbery mess that nobody wants to touch. There wasn't a single tug toy that could survive him until I stumbled across this one. I thought to myself, 'why not give it one last try.'

Fast forward a month later, and this toy is still in one piece after daily, intense tug-of-war battles. What amazed me most is that the inside actually stays dry—it has some kind of waterproof layer so it never gets that nasty wet sponge feeling, no matter how much he chews it. My dog goes absolutely nuts for the crinkly legs and squeaker. It has actually become our family's favorite routine because the legs are long enough for the kids to safely play tug with him too. I never thought a blue octopus would become my dog's favorite obsession. Thank you to whoever shared this, it’s a total game-changer!

Big thanks to whoever shared this toy — my dog and I owe you big time. He treats every toy like a personal enemy and usually destroys them in record time. Nothing ever survived… until THIS duck. I bought it thinking, ā€œAlright, let’s see how long you last.ā€ One month later, it’s still alive and kicking. Even worse (or better?) my dog is obsessed. This duck now goes everywhere with him and has officially become his best friend. Never thought I’d see the day a toy would win against my dog — but here we are. Thank you for changing our lives 🄰
