Trappin' Fool

Trappin' Fool Trappin' Fool is a nuisance wildlife control company I started in 2009 in Indiana. I buy furs, sell trapping supplies and have a taxidermy license.

Why Trappin' Fool you ask? It is because friends and family have always called me a fool for being out in the wind, rain, blowing snow, sub-zero temps wading in water doing what I love..., trapping. I started trapping at the ripe age of 9 and never missed a year. I bring 35+ years of experience to you. I handle nuisance wildlife conflicts mainly in Laporte and St. Joseph Counties in Indiana, but w

ill go to other counties. I handle conflicts with squirrels, raccoon, opossum, rabbits, woodchuck, chipmunks, fox, coyote, muskrat, mink, weasel, skunk, beaver and snakes. I do minor exclusion and repair. If you have a problem we can come to a solution. Exciting news; starting fall of 2015 I will be a licensed fur buyer in Indiana. I will be buying muskrat, mink, fox, coyote and a few raccoon.

Day 9: Last Day!

As I sit, waiting for the crowds, I reminisce about the week at the St. Joseph County 4H Fair. This year's educational piece at my booth was a mounted beaver.
1. It amazed me how many young children knew what it was and corrected their parents.
2. Sometimes we take for granted being able to see, hear, taste, etc .., A young blind woman and I assume her boyfriend came into the booth. He took time with every hide to explain the color, pattern, etc.., the name, how long it was and then would guide her hand to each hand so she could experience the beauty of real fur. He even took her to the skulls and did the same. It was very heartwarming.
3. Some kids need or needed discipline in their life. No respect for themselves or others, property included.
4. It makes my day when someone comes to my booth and tells me how inhumane and cruel the hides are BUT, leave with a different tone and understanding of the importance of trapping and hunting to control overpopulation. Often they would leave with a "high 5" and thanking me for the experience.
5. To the thief that stole from my booth and several others; may the fleas of 10,000 camels infest your crotch and may your arms be too short to reach!

Thanks to everyone who stopped in to say "hi", shopped or sat and visited. It means a lot! Hope to see you next year with another educational piece!
