🌻🪻🌿 Seven Weeks! 🌿🪻🌻

And just like that, these babies are seven weeks old! They are growing like weeds and were absolute champions for their temperament testing and conformation evaluations today. 🤍

Overall, this is a wonderfully consistent group, testing largely as expected with mostly 3s across the board. We’re seeing confident, social, friendly, handler-engaged puppies with strong environmental stability and some really lovely individual qualities beginning to shine through.

At seven weeks, they are now:

• 100% weaned
• Using their litter pans with around 90% consistency
• Comfortably napping in their crates both with and without Mom
• Continuing to explore, play, learn, and build confidence every day

Now that evaluations are complete, the matching process officially begins! We’ll begin reaching out to families on our waitlist this evening and will continue working our way through reservations over the next 24–48 hours. We appreciate everyone’s patience while we take the time to make thoughtful matches and give each family the opportunity to review their options, ask questions, and request additional photos, videos, or FaceTimes when needed.

We’re so excited to see where each of these babies lands. 🤍

Today is a big day for our Summer Bouquet litter! 🌻

Today we’ll be completing their temperament testing and conformation evaluations, followed by their 7 week photo shoot. We hope to have their new photos posted later this evening!

Once testing and evaluations are complete, we’ll officially begin the matching process and start working our way through our reservation list. We truly appreciate everyone’s patience during this time. Matching is a thorough process that we never want to rush we take each puppy’s individual temperament, structure, and each family’s home, lifestyle, and goals into consideration.

As we reach each family, we also want to give them adequate time to review their options, ask questions, schedule a FaceTime, or receive individual photos and videos before making their final decision.

We hope to begin reaching out to families later tonight and expect to have the matching and selection process completed within the next 48 hours.

We’re incredibly excited to see everything come together and find out where each of these babies belongs! 🪻

Our 6 week and a few days update this week!
🪻🌻🌸🌺💐🌷🌼🪻🪷

These guys are growing like weeds and really starting to come into their own. Their personalities are continuing to blossom, and they’re spending their days playing, exploring, eating, sleeping, and soaking up all the attention they can get.

They’re currently using their litter pans with around 90% accuracy, are about 95% weaned, and have been enjoying walks and adventures around the farm with Mom and their aunties whenever the weather cooperates. They’ve also received their third round of dewormer and first round of vaccinations this week!!

As far as coats go, Yarrow is currently our only confirmed long coat. At this time, I believe everyone else will mature into stock/plush coats.

Next week is a big one! We’ll complete our temperament and conformation evaluations and begin matching each puppy with the families on our reservation list based on temperament, lifestyle, and individual goals.

It’s hard to believe we’re already this close to watching them head off on their next adventures. For now, we’re enjoying every bit of the happy, busy chaos that comes with 8 growing puppies. 🖤

Summer Bouquet buds are Five Weeks old!!!!

We currently have reservation openings for two of each gender! 🪻🌸

Those interested in potentially being matched with one of our Bouquet babies are welcome to submit an application through our website.

These guys are growing and developing beautifully! Their personalities are really starting to come through, and we’re seeing such confident, social, outgoing little dogs.

They’re currently using their litter trays with around 75% accuracy and, weather permitting, have been enjoying evening adventures around the farm with Mom and their aunties. These outings give them plenty of opportunities to explore new sights, smells, surfaces, and environments at their own pace.

We did receive our coat-length testing results; however, four of the eight samples failed and will need to be re-swabbed and submitted. Based on the results we received and what we’re seeing at this stage, Yarrow appears to be our only long coat, with the remaining litter appearing stock/plush coated.

We’re excited to see what the next few weeks bring as they continue to grow, learn, and show us more of who they are.

The Summer Bouquet Litter is officially four weeks old!

These little flowers are growing and changing by the day, and their personalities are really starting to bloom. With the summer heat sticking around, they’ve been happily soaking up the AC between meals, playtime, plenty of naps, and of course lots of attention from Blair, our resident professional puppy snuggler.

Their whelping area has received another upgrade this week and now includes a raised bed, litter trays, an open crate, several different surfaces and textures, age-appropriate toys and chews, and plenty of room to explore, play, and settle. They’ve already decided the crate makes a pretty great napping spot, especially when Momma joins them, and we’re seeing around 65% accuracy with the litter trays already!

As we head into week five, their little world will continue getting bigger. They’ll begin having more interactions with their aunties and, weather permitting, start enjoying evening outdoor excursions where they can experience new sights, sounds, smells, surfaces, and environments at their own pace.

We also received some exciting news today — their coat-length samples have officially been received! We anticipate having results back within the next 24–48 hours and will make a separate post once they’re in. I know several of you have been waiting just as impatiently as I have to see whether our fluffy suspicions were correct!

We currently have a couple of openings remaining within the Summer Bouquet Litter. For anyone who has been following along and feels a DHR shepherd may be a good fit for their family, you can learn more about our program through our website or submit an application directly below.

As always, our families are selected carefully, and final puppy matching takes place following temperament and conformation evaluations at seven weeks. This allows us to consider each puppy’s individual temperament, drives, structure, and personality alongside the needs and goals of each family to make the best possible matches.
