Diabetes in Dogs & Cats
Diabetes mellitus occurs when the body can’t properly regulate blood sugar. In dogs and cats, common signs include increased thirst, frequent urination, increased hunger, and unexplained weight loss.

The good news? With proper veterinary care, insulin therapy when needed, nutrition, and regular monitoring, many diabetic pets can enjoy a happy, active life.

If you notice these signs in your pet, schedule a veterinary exam—early diagnosis and treatment matter!
