🎒Back to School Routines Include Our Pets Too!

Back to school is here!! As families adjust to earlier mornings, busy afternoons and new schedules remember that our pets will be adjusting too.
Pets that have enjoyed extra company over the summer may suddenly find themselves spending more time alone. A little TLC can make the transition easier.

🐾 Start shifting feeding, walks and bathroom breaks toward the school day schedule.
🐾 Practice short periods of alone time.
🐾 Add a morning walk or play session to help burn off some energy.
🐾 Leave safe enrichment activities such as puzzle toys or favorite toys while everyone is away.
🐾 Watch for changes like excessive barking, destructive behavior, accidents, pacing or other signs that your pet is struggling with the new routine.

A smooth transition can help make back to school season easier for every member of the family including the four legged ones. 🐶🐱
