Help us celebrate 10 years of helping horses!!! The horses will be on their best behavior (probably) and so will the volunteers (mostly) ! There will be hot dogs and drinks - a tack sale - tshirts for sale - and most importantly our horses can't wait for all the attention!

Customers get so surprised when they see us catering at local weddings. The first thing they ask is if we are serving hot hamburger plates. We laugh because it is the only item we will not cater offsite from our menu. However, our catering menu is a whole expansion of what we do and is full of wonderful options.

Some of our catering options are full country buffets:
Dinner Entrees featuring: baked chicken / BarBQ chicken / pot roast / meatloaf / grilled pork chops / applewood pork tenderloin / hamburger steak and gravy / chicken alfredo with broccoli / baked spaghetti / sirloin tips and gravy / shredded pork roast with or without BBQ sauce / ham

Country Sides featuring: homemade mac and cheese / green beans / sliced peaches / black beans / steamed cabbage / lima beans / BarBQ potatoes / homemade coleslaw /corn / mashed potatoes and gravy / baked beans / homemade potato salad / red skinned mashed potatoes / pasta salad / fresh grilled vegetables / sweet potato casserole / carrot soufle’ / loaded mashed potatoes / white rice / yellow rice / pineapple casserole / field peas with snaps / collards

We also have taco bars and pasta bars. And for an all out winner, we have Breakfast for Dinner with onsite pancake service.

So if you are wondering who can cater your next event, don't let our business name fool you. We have lots of options. Ghent's Catering is sure to please!!

We are a proud sponsor of New Bern Southpaws baseball team. It is our pleasure to provide a couple of post game meals to the players each season. We will be out at the field tonight ready to feed the team. Go Southpaws!!!

We had a wonderful visit to Horses of Pamlico on Monday. Keely (Volunteer Coordinator) gave us the big tour and showed us what they do to rescue, rehabilitate and in some cases rehome the beautiful horses there. A Big Huge Thank You!
For Our 8th Annual Benefit Fun Horse Show, Saturday, June 6, 2026!

Despite the summer heat, the smiles, laughter, sportsmanship, and love of horses made for an unforgettable day. We are incredibly thankful for all of our talented riders who participated, our enthusiastic spectators who cheered everyone on, and our dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.

Events like this would not be possible without the support of our community. Your attendance, encouragement, and willingness to lend a hand help us continue our mission and make a positive difference through the work of HOPE.

The photo below perfectly captures the spirit of the day—friends, horses, fun, and memories made together and also captures two of our rescues that have gone to their forever home and are loved so much!

Thank you for spending your day with us, supporting our cause, and helping create such a successful event. We look forward to seeing everyone again at future HOPE events!
