Ahsoka and I also went for a training field trip at the dog park! She came to training being human reactive, but since I’ve also observed some dog reactivity, we have been working on that as well. She’s a high energy girl and loves working. This outing was a huge success for her!

Mia braved her first public outing with me, and we dove in head first for a Lowe’s trip. Before we ever even went into the store, we stayed outside to observe people and noises and allow her some time to get acclimated. Once we got in, she did fairly well. She will still a little antsy, but she didn’t bark/react to a single person, not even when someone approached us to talk. So, this was a successful outing!

Bella and Luna had another fun training outing! We went to the dog park 😁 We practiced their commands using the ecollar, while still letting them drag long lines around for safety/to comply with leash laws. There were walkers, bikers, and lots of other dogs there during our trip!

Just two boarders practicing boarding dog things 🥰 Both of these dogs came to training initially for being reactive. Bonita was human and dog reactive, and Maverick was dog reactive, so there was once a time where this would’ve been a struggle for them both. Bonita is placing while Maverick and I play, and then of course we switched and Maverick placed while Bonita played with me and roamed free. This is the sort of practice that dogs receive when they return for our Alumni Boarding program!

Darwin also got to take a training trip to Lowe’s! He worked his commands all around the store and was a great sport about it.

Ahsoka took her first training trip to Lowe’s! Her owners said that the last time they tried this, she barked at everyone. This is an obvious change for Ahsoka 🥰

Since Ace is a really strong guy that can pull his handler wherever he wants to go, I decided that teaching a heel was going to be an earlier stage of his training 😅

We’re shown them apart - now it’s time to show them together. Bella and Luna have to learn a dual heel, so they have been working on that!
