Blacklick Bend Farm
- Premiere Hunter/Jumper Facility
- Located in New Albany, Ohio 43054
- 30+ show horses
- Pay starts at $14 an hour with potential for more!

Job Description:
Horse care is another job:
- Turnout (taking out + bringing in)
- Feeding (hay + grain)
- Putting boots and bell boots on horses
- Blanket Changes
- Water Buckets (scrubbing + filling)
- Barn cleaning
- Basic equine medical care
- No stall cleaning! But we do pick stalls throughout the day.

Important Qualities:
- Horse care knowledge
- Detail oriented for top quality care
- Reliable and accountable
- Willing to learn
- Team player
- Flexible to cover or pickup shifts (gain more hours!) but not a requirement

Bonus Qualities!
- Prior experience in a Boarding/Show barn!
- Ability to drive tractor
- Arena dragging
- Available weekends (Sat + Sun)
- Available for Night Checks
- Speaking some Spanish is great but not required!
We're seeking someone who is passionate about their work. We have great clients and happy horses and believe in giving the highest quality care!

Horsie Friends!
ISO:
A stall gate (or 2) that is straight across NO YOKE at least 48”W ideally longer but doesn’t have to be crazy big. I have one horse that unfortunately loves to crib on the cut out yoke part on our stall doors but if it’s straight and taller he won’t crib on it.
I also have another horses that can be a dragon to horses walking by so don’t want him to be able to reach out to grab an unsuspecting passer-by.
Anyone have any they want to get rid of?

💚✨Blacklick Bend Farm ✨💚
We are opening up to take on new clients. We do have some stalls available for showing and training horses. Looking for clients that want to be part of our training program and to go to horse shows. Our training program fits a variety of levels of hunters and jumpers. We specialize in a program to build you up to the next level with confidence and we focus on a custom style of training for you and your horse. We can also match horse and riders when looking for new partnerships.
We go to horse shows about once a month sometimes two weeks out of a month.
We do have some in house lease options available to new clients that are looking to lease/buy horses to grow with as well.

Is there a need for independant contractors for professional body clipping(full show clip/jumper clip/partial clip/ trace clip)??
Who would use someone outside of their barn that would travel to barn or meet at shows to body clip your horses.

We have THREE new boarders we’d like to officially welcome to BBF! 🖤🐎

Kate + Slim are joining us all the way from Seattle, WA where they routinely show in the 1.30

Rachel + her sweet mare, Zara, have joined us after recently graduating from Otterbein’s Equine Pre-Vet program

And last but not least, Hannah K. is getting back in the saddle while leasing our favorite boy, Dundee!

🟢 Salaried position(commissions and tips as well)

Job Description:
🟢 Groom horses
🟢 Clip horses
🟢 Pull manes
🟢 Basic equine medical care
🟢 Lunge/exercise horses (ability to ride is great but not necessary)
🟢 Basic supply ordering and tracking
🟢 Tack and untack horses for riding
🟢 Travel to shows and assist with groom duties/show setup
🟢 Ice legs
🟢 Wrap legs
🟢 Put on boots
🟢 Change blankets (when necessary)

Looking for:
