Frosty Oak Stables in Nescopeck PA has some openings for lessons this spring. We are also offering some free programs for the community!

Monday at 4:45 and Tuesday at 2:00 have openings in our leadline lesson program. The other time slots have a waiting list. We have room for beginner Thursday at 5:30 and intermediate Tuesday at 4:30 with another new lesson slot being offered Wednesdays at 4:30. Wednesdays at 5:30 in May will start our Barn Buddies program and we have two free options one being Mondays from 3:45-4:30 where you can bring a book and a chair and read to the animals and Wednesdays from 11-12 we have our HOPE program for adults and children 14 and up. Each out for more indentation about lessons and to RSVP for other events. As usually we have our summer camps all run by Maria and Taylor Hayes who both attended Wilson College for Equine Studies.

Equine 101 and 201
Frosty Oak Stables is once again offering options for home school and cyber school students . Horses offer a unique experience for children of all ages.

In Equine 101 we will explore many aspects of horsemanship on the ground. We will talk about grooming, tacking up, stable management, colors and breeds, and many other aspects. This will be a hands on class run rain or shine. We will meet Tuesday from 10:00-11:00. Cost for all six weeks will be $75 and discounts for multiple children in a family with each additional child being $50. This session will run April 8,15,22,29, May 6,13.

Equine 201 is an introduction to riding. The first week we will go over the basics of getting ready to ride and safety on the ground and the last three weeks we will ride! Cost is $160 for the four weeks. We will meet Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00This session will run May 20,27 June 3,10 and is VERY limited.

Frosty Oak Stables also offers weekly riding lessons, summer camps and Girl Scout badges. Located in Nescopeck PA, we’ve been in business since 1998.

Guess who’s a new permanent resident? Thunder! He has some learning to do before he’s the perfect gentleman but his calm babysitter nature with the kids make him a favorite. We are so thankful he gets to stay!

Equine 101, 102 and 201
Frosty Oak Stables is once again offering options for home school and cyber school students . Horses offer a unique experience for children of all ages.

In Equine 102 we will dive deeper into caring for horses with hands on non riding activities. We will talk about basic vet care, management of riding equipment and other topics more in depth than the 101 class. This class will run for three weeks on Thursdays from 10:00-11:00 and cost is $40 with a discount for families of multiple children. It will run Oct 24, 31 and Nov 7.

Equine 201 is an introduction to riding. The first week we will go over the basics of getting ready to ride and safety on the ground and the last five weeks we will ride! Cost is $210 for the six weeks and a discount of $30 if you enrolled in Equine 101. We will meet Thursday from 11:00 to 12:00. This session is very limited. This session will run Oct 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and Nov 7.

Looking for something fun at the end of the summer? Ponies and painting! Aug 22 1:00-3:00 pm. 25.00 per child limited space. Each child will get a small model horse to paint and get a turn riding our ponies. No experience required. Frosty Oak Stables

Frosty Oak Stables in Nescopeck PA is offering their last horse camp of the season Aug 12-14 from 9-3 each day. There will be riding each day along with crafts, horsemanship and games! This is the only camp we play horse soccer at. No experience necessary as the kids move around in small groups of appropriate experience. This can be the first time your child has been on a horse! Ages 7 and over only please for this camp. Cost is 1-8-0 for the week. Message with any questions.
