Our mission is to help animals located within Newton and Mcdonald counties, to give them a second chance at their happily ever after. FFAA is a group of dedicated, caring individuals committed to the giving of time and talents to tackle the issues of animal welfare in the Neosho, MO area. We have received both federal and state non-profit status. In 2015 we completed building and opened our Adopti

on Center in Neosho, MO. The abused, abandoned, and neglected domestic animals in our community must entirely depend upon people like us to stand for the humane care and respect they deserve. Put yourself in Haze’s paws for a moment.
Haze is only 2.5 years old. That means over 1/4 of his entire life has been spent inside a shelter kennel. To a dog with the mindset of a toddler, 232 days feels like an eternity. He does not understand why he is still here. He just knows he has so much love to give.

Haze is the ultimate good boy. Loving, sweet, and gentle, he wants nothing more than to curl up right next to you.

🎉 GREAT NEWS: Haze’s adoption fee is FULLY SPONSORED, so all he needs now is a heart and home to call his own.

🐾 The Only Catch? Haze thinks kitties and chickens look like tasty snacks! He needs a home with no cats or chickens so he can focus on being your best friend.

He has spent over 25% of his life waiting. While our staff love and adore him and we do as much as we can to make him feel at home, he deserves a real home. Haze needs a miracle. The entire shelter will celebrate the day Haze goes home.

Our long time resident Holiday has officially left the building! 🏡🎉 After being returned twice, through absolutely no fault of her own, our sweet girl has finally found her forever family!

She’ll be the only pet, with 2 acres of fenced in yard to enjoy and, most importantly, SO much love and spoiling. ❤️

Our shelter staff received the sweetest surprise today! The wonderful group from Community Support Services of Missouri dropped off individually wrapped bags of homemade puppy chow (the human treat kind, of course! 😉 Snacks for staff, not the pups!) complete with the most touching appreciation cards.

Working in animal welfare is a labor of love, and thoughtful gestures like this mean the world to our team. Thank you for recognizing our dedication, bringing a huge smile to our faces, and fueling our day with delicious treats! 🐶🐱✨

Meet Ruff Ryder! 🐾

Named after Neosho’s own Crowder College Roughriders, this handsome 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd / Great Pyrenees mix is 75 lbs of pure sweetness!

Ruff Ryder has a wonderfully mild, easygoing temperament. He can be just a little cautious when meeting new friends, but it only takes a moment for his calm, gentle personality to shine, and then that big, happy smile comes out! He’s even a little picky about his treats, proving he’s a true gentleman of refined taste.

He gets along great with other dogs and is looking for a steady, loving home where he can be your loyal companion.
