Rich Luchford spends his days working as a roofer, but when he takes his Dachshund Mia for a walk, he has a very different job title: Neighborhood happiness ambassador. 🐾 And to do so, he dresses up as a giant Dachshund.

It all started when Rich had a simple idea. What could be funnier than a wiener dog walking another wiener dog?

So he put on an inflatable Dachshund costume and took Mia for a stroll—not for Halloween, not for a special event, but just to “fetch some smiles.”

It worked.

Everywhere they go, people stop to laugh, take photos, and enjoy the hilarious sight of a giant inflatable Dachshund walking beside a real one.

What started as a silly idea quickly became a heartwarming routine for Rich and Mia. Their walks have turned into little moments of joy for everyone they meet.

And Mia’s reaction? Rich says she gets excited every time she sees him bring out the costume—and he swears she actually prefers walks when her dad is dressed like a giant version of herself.

Because apparently, the only thing better than having a Dachshund… is having a Dachshund-shaped dad. 😂🐶
