Who’s pretty? Our Nevada diva💖
Maizy came to stay over the weekend. We get to see her once, maybe twice a year, if we are lucky.
When they say dogs don’t like a prolonged stare they have never met Maizy. She can lock eyes and doesn’t mind it going on forever. She is smart as a whip and is a master manipulator, only used for good of course.

Dillon is a unique, deeply special dog who is slowly coming out of his shell here at Astoria Dispatch/PD. Trust is hard for anyone — he is learning his place in a new pack. A lot of recent change has made it hard to trust people quickly.
Once Dillon trusts you, his whole personality shines. He becomes goofy, loyal, and full of quiet joy. He loves playing fetch, exploring the outdoors, and he rides beautifully in a vehicle. He’s also a picky treat eater, but his absolute favorite is Milk‑Bone MaroSnacks — the way to his heart is definitely through those.

Willow and I loved spending some two on two time with the Littles, Koda and Hachi. It was a day just like the picture looks. We were chilling in a big way. We hadn’t seen Koda in a while and he was such a little snuggle bug. Of course, Hachi loves to horn in on any and all action. He’s such a good boy. They are a team … a little team of cuteness.
Willow was pooped at days end and fell asleep on her plate.

Dream dog Dillon🐕

My name is Dillon, and I’m Astoria Dispatch/PD’s newest foster dog — and let me tell you, I am so excited to be here. I’ve heard from the many dogs who came before me that this team is amazing at helping us find our forever families, and I’m ready for mine. I’m 4 years old, about 65 lbs, and a Lab mix with a big heart and great manners. I’m well‑behaved, I sit and wait patiently to be leashed, and I walk beautifully — no pulling, just happy trotting. The shelter volunteers say I’m one of their favorites, and I try hard every day to live up to that. I’ll keep everyone updated on my adventures here at APD, so watch for new pictures and videos. Final shots of our week with Fonzi and Archie… Buddy leaves today too. So just my Willow and the little Pug, Lucy remain. Do I enjoy the quiet? Yes I do. But not for long. Dogs are the best companions. Dogs are my Northstar. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My canine loving family from Az was here and provided more fun for the dogs than I could have ever mustered on my own. The ball dogs, Archie the Springer and Holly the lab got a good work out and we discovered Archie, the new guy, is a flying squirrel!
Fonzi the Portuguese Water Dog, who doesn’t care for water returned for his annual stay. Fonzie is a fan fave around here, a sweet mellow boy that is overcome occasionally by a desire to hump.
Then there was little Lucy the pug (our little tater tot) who got plenty of snuggling time in and actually got to sleep in a blow up bed with my grandson. Bliss for her.
My family is gone but the dogs remain. Life is good!🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
