Hi Paw family! Please sign this petition. This is absolutely heartbreaking and shame on us for having these poor animals as a petting zoo.

“I'm really hoping I can get everyone's help here. On the last day of the Big E, a fairgower saw the the Commerford Zoo (Goshen CT) camel like this. She posted it on FB with the comment "I took this picture. The camel was down for 5+ minutes with the goats stepping on it and its neck so I told the worker who went over and checked on him. He didn’t move for a long time but eventually lifted his neck up and then right back down."
There were several other people that witnessed it as well and felt the same way. Several of us have reached out to the CT Department of Agriculture as well as USDA to file a complaint and have the camel's well being evaluated. We don't know if the camel was just tired or exhausted from carrying people around on it for the 2-week duration of the fair but we don't want to take any chances because we all know Commerford's history with the USDA.
So I'm hoping that we can get our compassionate CT people to sign the petition to stop the Big E from bringing Commerford's animals as well as the Sea Lion Splash and Oxen pulls back next year.
Also, if you could kindly share this with everyone you know to also sign so we can get as many signatures as possible to present to ESE, the committee that oversees the Big E, and share, share, share.
