Behind the Scan: Teamwork in Internal Medicine 🩺💙

A great diagnostic tool is only as valuable as the team behind it! Here, Dr. Natalie Langer, our Internal Medicine doctor, is reviewing a patient’s head CT with technician, Skyler. After completing the scan, Dr. Langer takes the time to walk Skyler through the images and explain the findings.. Just one example of the collaboration and learning that happens every day at Boston West.

CT imaging gives our medical team detailed views of areas that can be difficult to evaluate with other diagnostic tools, helping us better understand what’s happening and guide the next steps in a patient’s care.

Natalie and Skyler make a great team, and we love seeing that teamwork in action! 💙

The loss of a pet is the loss of family. Their absence can leave a space in our lives that is incredibly difficult to navigate, and there is no “right” way or timeline for grieving that loss.

Extra Care During Recovery ❤️

Meet Penny! Penny recently came to Boston West for a forelimb amputation, and after surgery, it was time for some extra TLC while she recovered. Pictured here is Penny with her nurse, Paige, CVT, who stayed close by to provide comfort support and monitoring that Penny needed during her recovery.

Patient Spotlight: Otis! 🐾

Otis stopped by our ER service for some extra care and monitoring with Dr. Alanna Ferguson. During his visit, our veterinary technicians Ashley, CVT, and Skyler performed an ultrasound check of his bladder to help our team better understand what was going on and guide his care.

We’re so happy to be part of Otis’ care team and are cheering him on every step of the way! Hope you feel better, Otis 💙
