These 2 cuties are new clients yesterday, Cali and Lola, believe or not litter mates that a lovely family adopted. They were attentive during training and then polite enough to take a nap as we chatted. ☺️ We are working on some basic skills, house-training and some alert/reactive barking on walks. One key thing with two dogs is to train and walk separate too for less distractions, better concentration and learning. Also to help them learn to be confident separated too. Having a buddy is great, especially your sister, but you do not want them too stressed when a separation might be needed for a vet visit, injury, illness etc.
Looking forward to watching these young ladies settle in, blossom and learn!

Listened to this today, it’s a really good short listen. Lots of good nuggets on dog science, owning a dog and more. All the speakers are well spoken and quite honest on what dogs give to us, teach us and so hard to loose them. Also if you have a dog that has early life trauma Harvard has a study you may be able to participate in with your dog. See link in first comment.

Loki 3/2026 in the ‘kings log’ chair by the lake, Georgia 2/2021, in same chair, 3 years before she passed. Georgia jumped up on her own, Loki had to pick him up. ☺️Such handsome and cute dogs. Missing Georgia and other pooches these days, my loves, friends and companions always.
