If you’ve stepped foot in Southside Veterinary Clinic over the last few years, chances are you’ve met Kathryn (Kat). She first walked through our doors years ago as an observer, but it didn't take long for her to become an essential part of the Southside family. While working hard toward her degree, Kat has worked with us on and off, bringing endless passion, skill, and enthusiasm to everything she does. Simply put: Kat never backs down from a task or a challenge, and her drive inspires all of us every day. We know her degree will eventually take her on to her next big chapter, but until that day comes, we’re keeping her close and soaking up all the time we have with her ( that's if we decide to let her go, lol) —because Southside truly won't be the same without her!

Ever wonder who keeps things on schedule, shelves stocked, and things running smoothly (and keeps all the cats extra spoiled) at Southside? That’s Jordan!
Having joined our team shortly after we opened, Jordan does a little bit of everything—from answering phones and filling prescriptions to assisting with appointments. She’s a multitasking pro! When she’s not multitasking, she’s busy fulfilling her role as our official clinic cat lady, you can always find her showering all of the cats with love. Jordan’s bright energy is contagious, and if you’ve been in to see us, you already know how she can light up the room with her smile. Thank you, Jordan, for everything you do for our team, our clients, and our furry friends, Southside wouldn't be the same without you! Next time you stop by, be sure to say hi to Jordan!

Big shoutout to our newest team member, Jada, and our high-light for today!
Jada originally joined us just as an observer for school, but it didn’t take long for us to realize we couldn’t let her go. We immediately brought her onto the team and she quickly went from school observer to an essential part of our crew. We honestly can’t imagine Southside without her! She brings so much energy, pizzazz, and fresh youthfulness to our crew every single day.
Next time you stop by Southside, be sure to say hi and give Jada a warm welcome!

If you’ve walked through the doors of Southside, you already know and love Bonnie. She has been with our clinic the longest—and has actually been working alongside Dr. Tracey even longer than Southside has been open!
She keeps us busy, makes our days brighter, and holds the title of our favorite Yankee. 😉
Word on the street is she thinks she’s going to retire at some point… but we’ve all agreed that’s simply not happening. We are never letting her leave, because we truly can’t imagine Southside without her!

Meet Tate, our only male at the clinic! 🐾
The debate is still out on whether Tate puts up with all of us ladies, or if we put up with him... but either way, we wouldn't trade him for the world! We are so excited to have Tate as a part of the Southside crew. We hope him and his beautiful bride, Hannah, have a wonderful honeymoon this week. We can’t wait to watch his future unfold both inside and outside of the clinic.

“Vet techs just hold pets during visits, right?” Not even close. 🩺
Veterinary technicians are the nurses, lab techs, phlebotomists, anesthetists, and patient advocates of the veterinary clinic.
A strong technician team doesn't just support the Doctor—it changes everything about the quality and consistency of care a clinic can provide. Behind every great Doctor ( and we truly have the BEST), every thriving clinic and successful patient outcome is a team of highly skilled veterinary technicians. This coming week is National Veterinary Technician week. We at Southside love and appreciate all of our awesome technicians. Starting Sunday, we are going to highlight each of our technicians daily, giving our clients a chance to get to know each one of them on a personal level. If you get a chance next week, stop by and let Jordan, Jennifer, Kathryn, Jada, Bonnie, and Tate, know what a wonderful job they are doing and just how much you appreciate them. They truly love, care about, and work hard for all of your fur babies. ❤️
