Can you believe most of dogs in this video either has history of biting or reactivity issues? Past weekend, we had such great weather for our outdoor group training class.
One thing I truly appreciate is having clients who genuinely care about their dogs and continue showing up because they want to create a better life and relationship with them.
When a dog completes a training program, it doesn’t necessarily mean the training is finished. The time they spend with us gives us the opportunity to build a solid foundation, but from there, the pet parents has to continue the work at home.
That’s one of the biggest reasons our group classes are so important.
It gives our clients the opportunity to continue learning, practice handling their dogs in real life situations, and become more confident together. As a trainer, I don’t want my clients to simply learn a few techniques. I want them to really understand their dog, understand why we do certain things, and know how to handle different situations when I’m not standing next to them.
This past weekend was also a very special one for me.
One of my longtime clients, who moved out of state almost 10 years ago, came back to us with their new Rottweiler for training. Having someone come back after all these years and trust us again with another dog truly means a lot to me.
I appreciate every single client who continues to show up, put in the work, and wants to become better for their dog.
Training doesn’t end when the program ends. That’s really where the next chapter begins. k9keydogschool nycdogtraining nycdogtrainer longislanddogtrainer dog dogsofinstagram dogtraining obedience
