Happy Thanksgiving 🍁 🎸 😺 We are thankful for rescuers, adopters, crazy cat antics, YOU, and this fantastic update❤️ :
Remember Clara? The mama of 7, rescued from neglect, left still waiting for her forever home after we closed? Well, her heroic story got around, and it wasn’t long before she found her purrfect match! She’s been home for 6 wonderful weeks and just look how happy she is! 😭❤️🥰 We are grateful she finally got the person and home she so certainly deserved. We’re gonna say it - Congrats, y’all! 🎸😺 🎉

We just heard more of sweet Clara’s story and, y’all, it’s a heartbreaker 💔 As you know, we had 4 kitties who did not find homes. They have all been placed in foster or other adoption centers (more at end of post on that.)
As we are loading out and having people come pick up stuff they bought on auction, the folks from the rescue who originally took in Clara came in bc they happened to purchase som**hing on our auction. When they mentioned the rescue, I told them Clara was still here so they could say hi. They climbed up to the drum to pet her. Then, they shared her story.
Clara was brought to them from a situation of terrible neglect. We told you she had 7 kittens. We hadn’t realized she had been kept with her 7 kittens in a small cage that barely fit all of them with no litter box. The people who were “taking care of her,” were struggling with addiction and mental health issues. They would put a towel down in the crate and replace it when she pottied. The folks thought there might be m**h in their garden hose and that the cats may have gotten some (thankfully, not true.) Despite all this neglect and abuse, Clara did som**hing amazing - som**hing so many cats can somehow manage - she stay sweet and affectionate. She still trusts people. She remains shy but found a way to play again. She was a good mother to all of her kittens, who have long been adopted, and had even started to take a shine to one of our recent headliners, 4 month old Henrick.
Yes, she will take some time to get her bearings in a new place. She loves affection; to be pet by a trusted person and given treats. She may never be a true lap cat but she is the kind (as reported by her foster) to like to sit near her person, keeping them company, especially if there happens to be a nice spot by a pretty window.
Clara has been through so much and remains a sweet soul hoping for a forever family. She has been placed at the Cool Springs PetSmart adoption center. Please go visit her, maybe congratulate her on her resilience, and consider making her a part of your family through . ❤️

Just before the closing bell, Cyndi Laupurr (Spicy) scores a home 😻🎸😭🎉 Bringing our total number of cats adopted to 321 👏❤️👏 Congrats, y’all! 💕 This isn’t our final post but thank you all so much for EVERYTHING. This job has been a dream come true, with all of the triumphs and heartbreaks that go with it. It’s been a joy and an honor to serve you and these wonderful cats. Thank you for sticking with us, believing in Mewsic Kitty, and advocating for our feline friends. Y’all are the real MVP. ❤️ Our 4 kitties who were not adopted are now in foster care and other adoption centers. We’ll post about where you can find them in our story tomorrow. ICYMI: Whitney Mewston (Fanta) did indeed finder her 🎶 higher love 🎶😻❤️🎸 Our sweet tiny lady went home fur good with the purrfect people ❤️ Congrats, y’all! 😺🎉🎸 Meow, only 5 Mewsic Kitties remain! While they will go back to foster care with if they don’t get adopted, we would love to see many of them find their matches today and go home for good! We’re open today - our last day in business - from 11am - 3pm. It’s free to stop by so please come in! We’re going to miss all of you dearly and getting to know so many amazing cats. Let’s make it a furtastic, meowvelous day!

Could Whitney Mewston (Fanta) be your FANTAsy? 😻 This little girlie came all the way from West TN looking for love in all the right places. She’s about 4 months old and in serious search of a bff. She loved to play with people and other cats. It’s not uncommon for her to follow us around the catfe and meow for attention. She wants to cuddle and do whatever you’re doing!

Jimew Hendricks (bw) and Furrell (gray tux - Huxley) thought about taking a break from their totally adorable catnap to bring you a special message ... then they fell back asleep ... so here’s a special message from MKC! The final days are here and we’ve got a lot going on! 1. We still have 8 purrfect cats and kittens looking for forever families. We hope they will all find homes before we close rather than having to go back to foster care. 2. Our auction closes at 11:45pm this Monday, 9/28! We reduced the starting bid on most items that didn’t have any yet. - We still have 8 loving cats ISO forever families. Please help us find them homes! If we can't before 9/30, they will go back to foster care.

🎶 Picture purrfect, this don’t need no filter 🎶 Justin Biebpurr (Henley) has left the building! Sometimes, folks come in and know exactly which kitty they want from Petfinder or our social posts. Other times, especially when a kitty needs to impress 5 humans and there are sooo many loving, snuggly kitties to choose from, it takes longer to decide. Still, if you’re 🎶 intentions 🎶 are to adopt, you will find the right one! The competition was fiercely adorable, but the day went to Henley ❤️ We know he’ll be the purrfect fit, with lots of humans to love plus a kitty and doggy sibling to keep him company. Congrats, y’all! 🎸😻🎉💕

Dale Pawkins! 🎉😻🎉 It’s you’re going home day! Dale arrived right when we re-opened back in June. Visitors - you may remember him as our “refrigerator kitty” because that was his favorite (inconvenient) hiding spot. He eventually would decided to slither out the bottom grate of the fridge when crew arrived each morning and closed up each night, swiftly darting back behind the fridge as visitors arrived. Thankfully, with time and lots of love, Dale worked up his courage to hang out with the crowds! That was a few weeks ago. We knew this but, gentle, mellow boy would make the purrfect companion for someone. Today, he met his match! Every adoption is exciting but there’s som**hing about those bittersweet good byes to long time residents, especially the ones who have grown so much in their time with us, that’s super special. Congrats, y’all! 🎸😺🎉❤️
