🐰💕 Annual exams aren’t just for dogs and cats!

Our bunny patients need regular wellness exams, too! 🩺🐇 During an annual exam, we check their teeth, eyes, ears, weight, body condition, nails, and overall health. We also discuss diet, housing, exercise, and proper husbandry to help keep your rabbit happy and healthy.

Rabbits are experts at hiding illness, so routine exams can help us catch problems before they become emergencies. ❤️

Is your bunny due for a checkup? Give us a call at 870-410-4818!

Ever wondered what a spay incision should look like? 👀

At Broken L Veterinary Services, we typically close our spay incisions with intradermal (buried) sutures, meaning the stitches are underneath the skin—so there are no external sutures for your pet to chew or for you to have removed! ❤️

We also tattoo our spay and neuter patients. 🩷💚 A small, permanent tattoo provides a quick visual indication that a pet has already been sterilized. This can be especially important if they are ever lost, surrendered, or found as a stray and their medical records aren’t available.

Spay. Neuter. Tattoo. 🐶🐱
A tiny mark that can prevent unnecessary surgery in the future!

A few weeks ago, Dr. Bland had the opportunity to spend some time with the Vici 4-H Club in Vici, Oklahoma! 🐄🐴🐶 We had a GREAT turnout!!

She talked with the kids about a variety of real-life veterinary cases, answered approximately 10 million questions 😂, and then gave them a peek inside her vet trunk to see some of the tools and supplies she uses every day.

We truly believe educating and encouraging the next generation is imperative to the future success of agriculture. 🌱

If you have a 4-H club, FFA chapter, classroom, or other youth organization that would enjoy learning about veterinary medicine, agriculture, or life as a veterinarian, please reach out! Dr. Bland would love the opportunity to come speak—and she does it FREE of charge! ❤️
