We were pretty busy for being CLOSED this weekend. šŸ˜‚

First, Iā€™m so thankful that our little seizing puppyā€”the one Crystal raised from just 2 days oldā€”may actually get a second chance. ā¤ļø Fingers crossed that surgery is the answer for this baby.

Then thereā€™s Alo. We took her in Thursday after being told she ā€œjust needed oxygen.ā€ I quoted $350 for oxygenā€¦ except she didnā€™t just need oxygen. She had a chest full of pus and was incredibly sick.

When she wasnā€™t getting better, our team came back in over the weekend to keep fighting for her. Tonight, at 2 a.m., just as I was finally getting ready to go to bedā€¦

SHE STARTED EATING. šŸ™Œā¤ļø

I really thought we were going to lose her. Seeing her eat felt like winning the lottery. Our Alo kitty has finally turned the corner.

And then we saved a kittenā€™s lifeā€¦ with a dogā€™s blood.

Hereā€™s the ironic part: the dog had been returned to the rescue for killing cats. šŸ˜³

About 24 hours ago, this kitten desperately needed blood. He was literally cold, unresponsive and stiff. The only possible donor we had in the clinic was our resident ā€œkitty killer.ā€

So the dog who wasnā€™t exactly known for his love of cats became the reason one survived. ā¤ļø

Tonight, that baby kitten went home with his adorable 5-year-old boy and one very grateful kitty mom.

And because apparently that wasnā€™t enough excitement for one weekend at Animal Houseā€¦

Check out the pictures from our weekā€”and WATCH THE VIDEO of the guy getting arrested outside the clinic tonight.

I called the police because we had a client sitting in our parking lot with a sick puppy, and this guy kept yelling outside. He had been walking behind our building and pacing around our driveway, and things were getting a little too strange for comfort.

Now watch closely when the officer tries to cuff himā€¦

What do you think he had in his hand? šŸ‘€

Never a dull moment around here.

We may have technically been closed, but apparently nobody told the animalsā€”or Nashville. šŸ˜‚

Iā€™m incredibly proud of our team and thankful for every person who shows up when an animal needs us.

Letā€™s have an amazing week. ā¤ļøšŸ¾
