“I saw the recent Facebook post about Kevin and Waffles, and thought I'd share my own alumni story with you.

In March 2021, I adopted a male tuxedo cat named Lazarus from Nashville Cat Rescue. I renamed him Elmo, and he is doing great!

At the time, I was looking for a companion for my two-year-old tuxedo cat, Ellie (also a rescue). Over the years, Elmo and Ellie have become very close and formed a wonderful bond. They're always together - usually in the exact same position - so I've nicknamed them "The Bookends." I've attached some photos of them together. Elmo is the one with the larger black smudge on his nose.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate Nashville Cat Rescue and the incredible work you do. Thank you for all that you do for these cats and for the families who love them.”

Come meet Gee Whiz, Mr. Big Stuff, Silverwing and Runaway on Saturday, June 20, at Hoop House East from 12-3 p.m. (937 Woodland St.). They are 12 weeks old and all things KITTEN: cuddly, rambunctious, playful and adorable. Gee Whiz and Mr. Big Stuff will be ready for adoption. Meet Mr.Gwinnie — a little guy with a big personality. He’s fun and fearless and has no problems engaging with bigger cats and convincing them to play. He’ll impress you with his signature “flop and roll” somersault move and his ability to climb a scratching post like a tiny feline lumberjack. But he’s not just fun and games! Mr. Gwinnie also loves a good cuddle! Once he’s tuckered out, he’ll make himself right at home on your chest where he’ll serve up some scrumptious biscuits with his handsome white-gloved paws. Soothing purrs included at no extra charge! He’s 14 weeks and fully vetted.

Marty was found after being tossed out of a moving vehicle. He’s since healed and ready for a home. He loves (lightly) biting toes and cuddling. He’s still very playful, and spend most of his time wrestling with our adult foster. Fully vetted! If interested email [email protected]

This uncommon female Ginger cat is also very unique in her love of blankets. If her favorite human isn’t around to share the day with; she will just find her favorite blanket for a nap.

Sunny is very affectionate and devoted to her human. Her favorite thing is to snuggle up next to you and roll over. While you give her a good tummy rub, she’ll often make a batch of “air biscuits”.

She is spayed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV Negative, and up to date on vaccinations.
