Sometimes in life when something ends, we immediately go to sadness or grief or the feeling of failure. But with Nonipup, we are choosing to celebrate. Celebrate the joy it brought, celebrate the fact that despite it all we still did it.
Just 3 weeks after we launched this business, which we poured about 2 years of work into to get ready, our co-founder Rob had a seizure that led to an unexpected Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. This rocked our world but despite it, we pushed forward. Days working from bed, calls taken from the hospital.
Recently we learned that Leslie’s endometriosis is back in a big way, and we are having to make some big decisions about her health and how to make sure she is ok for the future.
Doug and Dory are doing so well and always seem to have something exciting in the works. Rob and I have also built other parts of our business in a way that better supports our health and the reality of what we can manage day to day.
But as any small business owner knows, a product-based business is a different kind of beast. It isn’t something you can fully run from behind a screen. It requires constant, hands-on attention, and right now we just don’t have the capacity for that. More than anything, we don’t want to keep operating from a place of feeling like we’re falling short.
It truly hurts our hearts to do this because we know so many will be disappointed. But we also know how many of you are in our corner and please just know that your support in our small business, and having a part in our dream, did not go unnoticed.
There are so many beautiful days and things ahead and we feel nothing but gratitude.
We wanted to give our customers the chance to stock up before we officially close. Use code THANKYOU15 for 15% off everything.
Nonipup forever. Boop your dog’s nose for us. 💛
