✨ Big news! ✨
I’m officially moving to Nashville, TN!!

This move marks an exciting new chapter for me personally and professionally — and I’m happy to share that I’m continuing dog training services offering virtual sessions for long distance clients and in person in Nashville.
Same passion, same approach… just a new city!

I’m endlessly grateful for the incredible dogs, clients, and community that have shaped my work and supported me along the way here in MA. You’ve been such an important part of my journey, and I will carry that with me into what’s next.

As I settle into Nashville, I’m also open to any referrals or connections in the area — whether that’s future clients, fellow trainers, vets, or dog-loving humans. Your support means more than you know 💛

Here’s to new beginnings, familiar faces cheering from afar, and lots of great dogs ahead 🐶✨

Let your dogs be dogs by giving them appropriate outlets.

Many behaviors that owners dislike are genetic instincts including:
- Digging
- Barking
- Chewing
- Herding
- Tugging
- Shredding
- Chasing
- Tracking
- Guarding

💡Finding the right energy outlet for your dog is also one of the first steps to take when working through behavior modification.

Dogs like gross things, no doubt in that.

Clear communication gives them boundaries in a human world to avoid sickness, danger etc. and sets them and you up for success!

💡“No” is an expression of dislike but doesn’t redirect your dog to an appropriate or wanted behavior option. Redirection is key to changing any behavior

Dogs take WORK, inconvenience, and sometimes a heck of a lot of patience.

The small but neccassary steps in the process of learning are what 9/10 times make the biggest change in behavior.

Our dogs won’t change their behaviors if we don’t change ours. Be aware of what you may or may not be reinforcing to your dog by asking yourself what you want to continue and if the minor sacrifice is worth not getting the major outcome.

We are a week out from Halloween! Do you have a plan in place for your dog?

There are so many options NOT to have your dog rush the door, potentially scaring kids/ themselves, bolting while the door is open, or worse.

💡Choose an option you have prior practice with to set you, your dog, and others up for success. Even if you want to show off your skills this is not the time to try something new.

Special thanks to and !!

Without a foundation, you can’t build the house.

By putting obedience first you risk not focusing enough on your bond and engagment with your dog to devalue outside triggers.
These triggers can lead to reactivity down the road or dogs who won’t listen due to everything being of higher value where you are not.

Focusing on engagment with you helps teach neutral associations to real world distractions by looking for permission and guidance.

If all activities you do with your dog are high energy, they will constantly expect high energy and engagment when with you-saying goodbye to calm, neutral, or “shut off” behaviors.
If you want a balanced dog who can do both, you have to practice doing both high and low paced activities together.

Lows: calm or structured walks, tethering, sniffing, or down stays. (Think mental work)

Highs: Running, fetch, tug, chase or flirt pole.
(Think physical)

Dog ownership is a two way street and just like us, dogs crave companionship. We can’t just take and not give anything in return.
Giving your dog a toy, or space to play with on their own and making a toy come alive through human interaction are two very different things.
