This is why you pay for a proper whelping box. Poli is stuck behind Mama Della and I had to fish her out, but she could still breathe ok, but if I weren’t here monitoring them, hearing for cries, I could have missed it and hurt her. Thank God for PUPez you saved many a cuddly puppy I’m sure!

If you thought nausea and vomiting during pregnancy were only for humans, you’d be mistaken. 😪🐾🐾

It is normal for pregnant dogs to experience morning sickness from hormonal changes, which can affect their appetites!

She will need extra nutrition for strong and healthy puppies.💪💪

Consult your veterinarian for recommendations on alternate foods for your pregnant pup if she is experiencing these symptoms! 🐾🐾

🐶 Designating the whelping box space for your pregnant momma is 🔑 to the acclimation phase in late pregnancy.

Making sure momma is familiar with the surroundings and lay of the space really helps comfort and sooth her when it comes time to birth. ❤️

👉 A good practice is to prepare the space as early as possible. Spending time with her in that area, and leaving her in the space for a little bit at a time will go a long way.

Try and plan a week or longer in advance. The more time for her to acclimate before she pushes out those pups, the more relaxed, calm, and at ease she will feel.
