Tonight, I want to recognize a precious donor who passed away just this morning.
Anne Burkitt Koellien is pictured here with one of our forever fosters, Sadie Rose, who lives with Ms Anne’s son’s family. Clearly, Sadie Rose loved Grammie and vice versa.

Last week, Ms. Anne who knew her time was short, decided she wanted her final donation to sponsor spays and neuters for our rescue. She requested that a check for 6000.00 go toward the countless surgeries we do to head off the overpopulation problem. I was moved to tears when told of her generous gift.

What a selfless, loving soul who valued the lives of animals she was. She has annually donated and words can’t express our gratitude. To her family, we are so very sorry for the loss of your precious matriarch. She has left a beautiful legacy in you her family whom I am honored to know. Rest in peace, sweet soul. Many animals’ lives have been impacted by your generosity.

Hello, my name is Loki! I’m a handsome, playful guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I’m feeling great and ready to find my forever home. I’m fully vetted and received a clean bill of health from the veterinarian!

My foster family has taken wonderful care of me with baths, grooming, ear cleanings, and nail trims, and now my soft, fluffy coat really shines.

I’m a very talkative cat who loves toys, attention, and being part of the action. I enjoy playing, exploring, and keeping my people entertained with my fun personality. I also adore pets and will reward you with my loud, happy purr. When playtime is over, I love finding a cozy spot to curl up for a nap.

Meet Josie

Josie was very shy and reserved when she first came into foster care, but she has come such a long way. Watching her personality blossom has been so rewarding. She now happily interacts with her foster brothers and sisters and enjoys going outside with them. She’s still working on potty training but is doing very well.

Josie absolutely loves being close to her people. Whether she’s curled up in your lap or following you from room to room, she just wants to be near you.

She is crate trained and does well eating and sleeping in her crate. Josie gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love a home where she can continue building her confidence and soaking up affection.

She has not been tested with children or cats, as her foster home does not have either.

At around 25 pounds, Josie is the perfect size for cuddles without being too big for your lap. She’s a sweet, loyal girl who will make a wonderful addition to the right family.
