Pepper, this beautiful 5 month old German Shepherd, graduated our two week board and train program! 🐾🎓

Pepper came to us with all the intelligence, drive, and determination that German Shepherds are known for. She is a very strong-willed and stubborn young dog who likes to do things her way, which made consistency and structure especially important during her training journey.

Her family was looking for help with puppy nipping, jumping, recall, leash manners, and basic obedience commands such as sit, place, and heel. Pepper was also highly distracted by her surroundings, especially other dogs, making it difficult for her to focus on her handler during walks and training sessions.

At home, Pepper’s mouthing behavior had become a major challenge. Everyone in the household was fair game—including the cats and even the chickens! Her excitement and curiosity often led her to use her mouth to interact with the world, and she needed to learn more appropriate ways to engage with both people and animals.

Over the two weeks, we focused heavily on impulse control, engagement, obedience, and teaching Pepper that listening is not optional. She worked hard on her recall, learned how to hold commands despite distractions, and made tremendous progress walking in a structured heel without pulling. We also spent time teaching her how to make better choices around people, animals, and everyday distractions.

Pepper has a big personality, a strong mind, and endless potential. We are so proud of the progress she made during her stay and excited to see her continue growing into the confident, well-mannered companion her family knows she can be. Congratulations, Pepper! ❤️🐶🎓🐾

Petunia, this lovable 1 1/2 year old Bully mix, graduated our two week board and train program! 🐾🎓

From the moment she arrived, it was clear that Petunia had a heart of gold and an endless zest for life. She absolutely loves people and other dogs, but her excitement often got the best of her. Her family came to us looking for help with leash manners, impulse control, reactivity around other dogs, and learning how to stay calm in everyday situations.

Walks were a challenge, as Petunia would pull heavily on the leash and become reactive when passing other dogs. When meeting new canine friends, she would come in with so much enthusiasm that it could be overwhelming for the other dog. At home, she would charge the front door whenever someone arrived, and during playtime, her excitement would quickly escalate into excessive mouthing and bitey behavior.

Over the last two weeks, we focused on teaching Petunia how to slow down, think through situations, and make better choices. Through structured walks, obedience work, impulse control exercises, and exposure to real-world distractions, she learned that calm behavior opens the door to more freedom and success.

One of the most rewarding parts of Petunia’s journey was watching her learn to channel all that energy into productive behaviors. She is an incredibly sweet, affectionate dog who truly wants to do the right thing. With clear communication and consistency, she made tremendous progress and showed everyone just how capable she is.

We are so proud of the hard work Petunia put in during her stay and excited for her family to enjoy calmer walks, better manners, and a more balanced companion. Congratulations, Petunia! Keep up the great work, sweet girl! ❤️🐶🐾

Roy, this handsome 4 month old Scottish Terrier, graduated our two week board and train program! 🐾

Like many young puppies, Roy came to us with plenty of curiosity, energy, and a few habits that needed some guidance. His family wanted help with puppy biting, leash manners, basic obedience, and teaching him to respond reliably to commands. Roy also had a habit of eating things he shouldn’t—including 💩—and needed to learn how to make better choices both at home and out in the world.

During his two weeks with us, we focused on building a strong foundation through structure, consistency, and clear communication. Roy worked hard on sit, place, leash walking, and learning that calm behavior earns rewards. We also spent time helping him become more comfortable and relaxed when people and other pets approached him, while continuing to develop appropriate social skills around other dogs.

Roy is a smart little guy with a big personality, and once he understood what was expected of him, he made tremendous progress. Watching his confidence grow and seeing him begin to make good decisions on his own was incredibly rewarding.

We are so proud of all the hard work Roy put in during his stay and can’t wait to see him continue growing into a well-mannered, confident companion for his family.

Georgia, this beautiful 1 1/2 year old Dutch Shepherd mix, graduated our two week board and train program! 🐾

This girl came to us FULL of energy and personality — and while she is incredibly smart and loving, her boundless puppy energy had started taking a toll on everyday life at home. Georgia struggled with excessive barking, jumping on people, leash pulling, chasing cars on walks, and becoming completely overstimulated when her owners would return home.
If someone walked through the front door after being gone even a short time, Georgia would lose her mind with excitement — jumping, barking, nipping, and launching herself high enough to lick faces without hesitation. On walks, she was incredibly strong for her size and constantly pulling, making outings stressful instead of enjoyable. She also showed some resource guarding behaviors around the cats that needed structure and clear boundaries.

Over the last two weeks, we focused heavily on impulse control, leash manners, calm greetings, engagement with her handlers, and learning how to channel all that energy into appropriate behaviors instead of chaos. Georgia learned that being calm and respectful gets her much farther than barking and demanding attention.

She is an incredibly fun, intelligent dog with so much potential, and once her mind was given structure and guidance, she truly started to shine. We are so proud of the progress Georgia made and excited for her family to finally enjoy calmer walks, peaceful greetings, and a much more balanced companion at home! 🖤🐾

Tiny but mighty — Theodore, this adorable 4 month old Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu mix, graduated our two week board and train program!

Theodore came to us struggling with separation anxiety, fear-based behaviors, and typical puppy habits that were becoming difficult to manage in busy city life. Everyday walks meant constant encounters with people, dogs, noises, and distractions which caused growling, barking, leash pulling, fear reactions, and even following behind to bite at calves and pants legs.

Over the last two weeks, we focused on confidence building, proper socialization, leash manners, impulse control, and teaching Theodore how to stay calm and engaged with his owners in crowded environments. From navigating busy sidewalks to learning how to relax around strangers and other pets, Theodore made incredible progress day after day.

He may be small, but Theodore has a huge personality and kept us smiling throughout his stay. We are so proud of the progress he made and excited for all the future city adventures ahead for this sweet boy! 🐾

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who served our country with courage and selflessness.

Happiest of birthdays to our very own Kat Ivey! Kat is not only a great mom at home (3 sons and dog Roscoe), but is also a great temporary mom to our dogs that we train! She always takes the time to give every dog all the hugs and snuggles they want! She is also a great second mom and friend to our team!

If you know Kat, she always arrives to work with a smile on her face, and the smile remains throughout the day! She’s not just an exceptional manager — she’s the glue that holds our crew together. Her hard work, leadership, and ability to handle chaos with a smile never goes unnoticed!

Happy Birthday to the one who keeps this team running smoothly, keeps us all sane(ish), and somehow manages to lead with both excellence and patience every single day! 🎉

Meet Barrett — a 9 month old Labradoodle with a BIG personality and even bigger puppy energy! 🐾

Barrett graduated our Award Winning Two Week Board and Train Program and spent his time learning how to channel all that excitement into better manners and focus. While he already knew some basics like sit and stay, his excitement would often take over when guests came through the door — leading to jumping, nipping, and lots of enthusiastic greetings.

We also worked through barking at strangers and cars outside, leash pulling on walks, and building better overall impulse control. Since his family loves taking their dogs everywhere with them, it was important for Barrett to learn how to stay calm, attentive, and polite out in public.

Through consistency, structure, and plenty of positive guidance, Barrett made huge improvements and showed us just how smart and eager to learn he truly is. He’s an all around happy boy who brought smiles, laughter, and joy to every single day he spent with us.

We are so proud of this sweet pup and can’t wait to see all the adventures ahead for Barrett and his family! 🐶✨
