Happy Thursday friends!
First off I just wanted to say for the next few days my posts will be very limited, for those of you who’ve followed me for over a year you might remember that Mama works two county fairs a year, and the fair is this weekend (Friday through Monday) so I’m going to be home with Daddy and Grandma over the next few days so I’m not left home alone, but Mama is going to be very tired when she gets home and need lots of cuddles, so I won’t be making my long nightly posts!
For those of you who saw my post about getting a new family member, that will be happening on Sunday, so Mama won’t be working that day and we’re going to take a 8+ hour round trip road trip to go meet them! So that will also be a long day and I might not do my usual long post that day either, but I promise I’ll share pictures so you can see me meet my new sibling!
My usual nightly posts recapping my day will resume on Tuesday, so I apologise in advance for not responding to comments or posting as often as usual until then! Anyways, back to my nightly post!
Last night Daddy came home from work while I was snuggled up with Mama, but as soon as he came in the door I jumped off the couch and started wiggling all around and getting tons of love! Daddy brought home some groceries, so as soon as he put them down he gave me lots of scratches and kisses and attention!
I supervised Mama in the kitchen while she put away the groceries, then Mama started making my doggie dinner! I got my night time meds, then Mama gave me my big bowl of dinner and I ate the whole bowl! Mama had to get going to feed the kitties she is pet sitting, so Daddy wiped my face when I was done eating and washed my bowl, then Mama gave me some goodbye kisses and she snuck out the door!
When Mama came back home I went totally nuts and wiggled all around! I also sniffed her all over because I like to smell the other kitty that Mama pet sits! She’s taking care of two kitties, one is very very shy, and she’s only caught a quick glimpse of her one time, but the boy kitty is very lovey and affectionate and always rubs all over Mamas legs so I get to sniff him all over Mama whenever she comes home!
Mama and me sat on the couch and she worked on her pottery project, and Daddy made Dusters wet food dinner! After me and Duster were both fed Mama and Daddy made a big bowl of the chicken soup Grandma made for dinner and then they came to sit down with me in the living room! For the beginning of Mama and Daddy’s meal I was busy playing with my new orange b**r bottle toy that I got last weekend, but eventually I gave up with it and jumped on the couch for some cuddles!
While Mama and Daddy ate, Grandma made Maggie her dinner, then she went potty and her and Grandma went to bed! Me, Mama and Daddy cuddled for a little while after dinner, then Daddy went to go get some ice cream for himself and Mama, and some frozen treats for me! We all enjoyed our yummy frozen snacks, then it was time for bed!
Daddy took me outside to go potty before bed, then when I came back inside he scooped me up, and carried me to bed where Mama was waiting to cover me in kisses! Daddy and Mama gave me a full body scratch down once I was in bed, and I curled up behind Mamas pillow and closed my eyes! Duster came to bed too, and he cuddled up against Mama so he could stay nice and warm and he purred himself to sleep while Mama scratched him!
In the morning Daddy was up working in the garage, and when Mamas alarm went off I knew she was about to go take care of the kitties she’s pet sitting for! Mama gave me lots of kisses and scratches and love before she got out of bed, and then Daddy came back inside to cuddle with me for a little longer so Mama could get going! After a while Daddy and me got out of bed and we decided to go outside!
Just as we were about to go outside a big scary garbage truck came by, and I took off running back down the hallway! Daddy brought the trash barrel to the top of the driveway then came back in to get me so I could go potty but I had pushed Grandma’s door open and I was curled up next to her bed with my eyes closed, so Daddy decided to let me sleep a little longer.
When Mamas got back home Daddy told her how I got scared, so Mama went to Grandmas room to check on me and I came out to the living room and wiggled around because Mama was back home! Seeing Mama helped me forget about the garbage truck, so Daddy took me outside to go potty then I came back in and Mama gave me my breakfast and my morning meds!
While I was getting my breakfast Grandma gave Maggie her breakfast, and then I went to go hang out with them till it was time for all of us to leave! Mama needed Daddy’s truck today to take Duster to the vet, so we rode with him to work and took his truck back home! Me and Mama gave Daddy tons of goodbye kisses, then she brought me back home where I slowly waddled into to see Grandma and Maggie!
Mama immediately got to work mixing up the icing for the gender reveal cake and once the cake was all frosted we went out into the yard so me and Maggie could enjoy it! If you missed the video I posted earlier you should go check it out, it was so fun digging into that cake! After we had our cake Mama cleaned everything up, and then it was almost time for her to bring Duster to the vet!
Some of you might remember a few weeks ago Duster had a seizure and fell off his cat tower, which was very traumatic for everyone! Mama brought him to the vets after his episode and they did blood work but one of the samples for one of the tests wasn’t able to be ran, so Duster had to go back to the vets today for a booster shot and to draw more blood. Thankfully all the other tests they ran came back great and he was very healthy!
Grandma distracted me and Maggie with carrots so Mama could get Duster into his cat carrier, then Mama kissed me goodbye and she headed to the vets with Duster! Poor Duster was very upset, and he just wanted to stay home, but Mama said it was important to keep him healthy so he had to go! While Mama was gone me and Maggie followed Grandma around the house while she got ready for work!
Mama got back home with Duster just before Grandma had to leave, and Duster was so happy to be home! Me and Maggie sniffed him all over which made him a little grumpy and he smacked me on the head a couple times, then Mama pulled me away and told me to give him some space. Duster settled right back into being home and Mama gave him some treats!
Grandma left for work after giving Maggie lots of kisses, then Mama got to work doing a few chores around the house since she’ll be very busy over the next few days working at the fair! Mama did a deep clean on the bathroom, did some laundry, and got everything ready that she’ll need for the fair! Mama then went and got in the shower and me and Maggie cuddled up in the hallway outside the bathroom so we could keep an eye on Mama!
When Mama finished up in the bathroom we all went to the kitchen for a little snack! Mama made herself a sandwich and me and Maggie got a bunch of the baby carrots that Mama cooked yesterday! Me and Maggie just love carrots! Next we all went to the living room and I took a nice little nap on the couch! Soon it was time to go pick up Daddy from work so Mama said we had to get going!
Grandma was going to be home in about 15 minutes, but Maggie looked so sad when we were leaving because she was going to be home alone so Mama decided to take her with us! Now we’re all waiting at Daddy’s work for him to come get in the truck, and then we’ll go home where Maggie will be very excited to see Grandma!
