my old workhorse of a Husqvarna Lily 555 suddenly stopped working after 25 years of chugging away - first the zig-zag stitch stopped, then it started ghosting - running away when I wasn't there. I was going to call my mom and ask her if she'd ever heard of such a thing, then I thought to google it. Google A.I. asked for the specific model number, and when I told it a lily 555, she said it was a problem specific to the 555 model and that it needed a new foot pedal. I found one on eBay (Husqvarna no longer makes this model), and it fixed everything! it fixed the zig-zag stitch, the ghosting, everything. it runs like new. so if you have a problem with your machine, google it! Normally I hate A.I., but it sure knows sewing machines :-)
