The pupsicle toys are a great way to keep your dogs occupied, and we sell them at Spot's - The Place for Paws. The dogs love them!

Sometimes, however, they can be a challenge to open due to friction. There is an easy fix for that. Put the toy on it's side on the floor. Gently step on the side of the toy until it pops open, while holding on to something for stability. If you need a little help screwing it closed, a little cooking spray on the threads is helpful. I like to use a bit of coconut oil spray, and it works like a charm.

We are heading into July 4th weekend along with the usual fireworks displays. If your pet is not a fan of the noise, Happy Traveler can help calm them down. It also works for pets who don't like thunderstorms. Stop by Spot's to have some on hand.

PET FOOD DRIVE!!

At Spot’s, we believe strongly that pets are part of our family. They give us love and joy when we really need it, and boy, could we use more of that now. With so many people facing job insecurity, the loss of food benefits, and other financial hardships, it may be becoming harder for some to pay for the basics of taking care of their dogs and cats, like buying food for them.

At Spot’s, we would like to help ease that burden. From now until Thanksgiving, we will be holding a Pet Food Drive at the shop. We will be collecting unopened pet food, that is within its expiration date, to deliver to a local food bank so that a pet parent will not have to surrender a pet due to their inability to pay for this basic need. Help us to help others. It is an act of love.
