Good evening Quail Hollow! Please be aware that there are now THREE bears in the neighborhood. What appears to be a "mama", a juvenile, and a cub are roaming the area, and do not seem to be afraid of people.... Sadly, their whole habitat is being taken away by building, so they are down to very small pieces of wooded area, and they are definitely claiming it, both at night and in the daylight!

So, please be very aware of your surroundings anytime you are outside your home. Try not to do anything to attract them (leave "fresh" food in your garbage can, have pet food out on lanai, have garbage cans with "drippings" on the inside, etc), and definitely do not approach them. Please be very mindful of your kids and pets, as again, they are not afraid of people and have approached.

Speaking of kids and pets.... we continue to get complaints about kids going onto other people's properties/into their yards without permission, and off leash dogs approaching leashed dogs and getting aggressive. Please make sure that any animals outside of your home are leashed so that DAS does not have to be called, and please make sure that your kids know they can't be in other people's yards without permission from the owner. Let's all try to be good neighbors, but more importantly, stay safe! Thanks!

Good afternoon, Quail Hollow. There are a couple of dogs roaming the hood that it seems people are unfamiliar with: a mid size black dog and a smaller off white/brown dog. If anyone is looking for them, they are toward the front of the neighborhood. They won't go near the person who is seeing them, so we're unable to get numbers or anything. If you know who they belong to, please let them know! Thanks.

Good afternoon, Quail Hollow!! Please be aware that the company that routinely cleans out the preserves is on site starting today. They will be addressing the "exotic/non native" growth in all the preserve areas, so don't be alarmed if you see them out and about, including behind your homes.

Also, there has been a lot of discussion lately regarding children playing in the neighborhood. We all love having children in the hood, it's been great getting new families, and the sound of children playing is wonderful! HOWEVER, there have also been numerous complaints about where and when the children are playing, namely unsupervised in the street or running through other people's yards. Out of safety for your kids and respect for your neighbors, please make sure your kids have adult supervision and are playing in their own yards or have permission to be in someone else's. Many neighbors spend a lot of time working on their landscaping, so to have kids trampling it or attempting to pluck things isn't helpful. Please also be respectful of people who work super early in the morning and are trying to sleep in the evening.

Quail Hollow is a great, family neighborhood, let's keep it safe and pleasant for all residents by respecting each other's properties and differences, and following the covenants. Thanks, everyone!

Good evening Quail Hollow!
In case you haven't noticed, the speed limit was lowered from 30 mph to 25mph in QH!!! As this is a neighborhood full of walkers, bike riders, animals and children, this is a good thing! However, it has become clear that people are not paying attention as they drive down the street, either still speeding or dealing with their phones and music vs watching the road. PLEASE exercise caution when driving in Quail Hollow!

Also, please remember that parking anywhere other than the driveway of your home is prohibited with the exception of a short gathering or service vehicles attending to your home. So cars that are parked on the lawn or street for days or nights at a time, please understand that you can be ticketed and if blocking access you will be towed.

Summer is approaching quickly, it's light later into the evening, lots of folks and critters out and about enjoying the weather. Let's keep it safe for everyone! Thanks!

Good evening Quail Hollow! Reminder: Annual Dues were due on Jan 1st, (as always) but also with the usual promise that no late charges would be filed until Feb 1st. Yet we are still looking at numerous people who haven't paid their dues.... Please be aware that the next notice will include late fees.

Haven't heard much interest in a community garage sale, so at this time none has been scheduled. Residents are allowed to throw their own garage sale if you'd like.

The front wall and signs have been cleaned (with exception of areas where there was impediment ) and look great! There are several other projects in the hood that need work, please know we are addressing things.

Good evening Quail Hollow! A couple of questions for you:
1) Garage Sale? Anyone interested? I apologize for late notice, due to a family emergency I've been out of town and did not address this. But if there is interest, we could still pull off a garage sale on March 28th. If the majority feel that this is not enough time to prepare, we can aim for better prep next year, or in the fall this year.

2) Mail: Has anyone had difficulty with putting their mail in their mailbox for pick up, then the recipients not receiving it?

Updates:
The front walls and signs have been power washed and are looking good. One side was not completed yet due to plant overgrowth and/or personal property up against the wall, but the project will continue at some point.
There continue to be wild animals roaming through the hood at all hours. Please be aware of your surroundings when out walking with your pets or children, whether it's daylight or night time.

Reminder: This Sunday, March 8th, at 2 am, we turn the clocks ahead for Daylight Savings time.

Good afternoon, Quail Hollow! FYI: there was a report of a coyote sighting in broad daylight on Lupine Lane today. Not only a sighting, but the coyote came very close to a human and a dog. As more and more natural habitat is taken from them, the coyotes and other wildlife are losing their fear of humans. Please pay close attention to your pets and kids when out and about!

Also, reminder: the dues for 2026 are $450, and were due Jan 1st, with a grace period through January/no late fees until Feb 1st. Please pay your dues and avoid a late charge! You can send to Seacrest/Southwest Property Management or pay on the appfolio site.

Is anyone missing a young black cat? It has been hanging out toward the front of our neighborhood, and appears to not be feral.... thanks for any info you can give.

Good evening, Quail Hollow! The 'hood was in great holiday spirit this evening, with over half the homes participating in the decorating contest. It was an extremely difficult job to judge, as so many homes looked so festive! The winners are shown below. Thanks for all the fun, everyone! Wishing you all a very happy holiday!
