Absosengkye Kennel

Absosengkye Kennel Lhasa apso Tewa was the first for me, an experiment if you may. Its all about the Lhasa, Tewa opened up that door. Lhasa apsos are non-shedding canines.

Never could we have guessed that we would be here today
Endless days of grooming, shows and so much more. They are long lived as well as one of the oldest breeds in existence today. They are smart, good watch dogs, excellent family pets and loyal companions. Lhasa apso ownership is contagious not only for the owner but for those around them. Expressing my fierce devotion to this breed is not diff

icult as I have raised and handled many breeds in the past 30 + years and none have brought me the joy and satisfaction this breed has provided. For those that know me, I am a comfortable country girl with little interest in high heeled shoes, fancy clothes, manicures, pedicures, or hairstyles much beyond that of a pony tail. Yet, here I am, spending hours grooming to perfection my show Lhasa apsos, parting hair from one end of the dog to the other, experimenting with hair products that provide shine and sleek, non-frizzy coats. We drive for hours, spend thousands of dollars with a handler and more in hours to care for this wonderful friend. My website has a tremendous number of hours of work vested in it. I study nearly every day to provide the Lhasa owner old and new, current information about this amazing breed. My camera has taken more photos of my Lhasa apsos than it has of grandchildren...and I am not doing to shabby on the grandchild photo collection...so you can only imagine. I love to talk about them and will try to answer questions as thoroughly as possible. Many hours of research have followed a phone call that unsettled me with a question about this breed that I could not answer. If I don't know, I will find out! Lhasas are my thing and I hope to be a catalyst in helping others come to know and love them the way I do! One of our Lhasas was chosen to represent the breed in the book titled:

Sometimes life circumstances put us in situations that are uncompromising. Such is the case of sweet Daisy-Mae, dob - 11/10/22. This Lhasa female has spent three very happy years with her mom. In a necessary move she is now living with mom in a home with other family members.
The dog they own is a new dynamic and has not been welcomed by Daisy.
The two sweet children, one a baby and one a toddler are also very disconcerting to Daisy who has been an only child until now.
The mom is devastated but knows that it is in Daisy's best interest to find her a quieter home that helps her feel more secure and less threatened.
This decision did not come without a lot of consideration. It is just too much, in too short of a time, to rectify.
Daisy Mae is a 3-1/2 year old female. She is from Oscar & Butter’s litter on 11-10-22. She has Snoopy markings: white with black spots and black ears. She is spayed, chipped, and current on all her vaccines. She is currently located in St Charles, MO. Daisy has been living alone with her mom (73 year old female) and overall has an excellent disposition.
Basically I think Daisy needs to be an only dog and in a home with no small children. She does love running about in a fully fenced yard but should be unleash if not in a contained area.
I know this owner personally and Daisy has had excellent care all of her life.
If transportation is needed, it can be provided, but would be at the sdoptive owners' expense. I am always willing to transport a dog but as with anything there are expenses involved.
I am happy too. Answer any questions you may have. And have included three pictures of this adorable girl.
Our preference is someone that understands the breed. Daisy will adjust to a new home, but will require patience, rules and time.
Any rude comments will be deleted immediately. This was by no means the fault of Daisy's mom. All she wants is someone to love her baby girl.

Why the Lhasa apso... A question I have been asked for nearly thirty years.
Those that know me and know my Lhasas understand.
I am an extremely active person and
find it difficult to post as often as I would like.
This morning, as I was running around in my typical chaotic fashion, that only I understand, my little Jamie caught up my attention as she was vying to grab my attention for 1 minute.
I went to her and she melted into my hand. When I picked her up, she pressed her little face tightly against my neck. They are thankful little dogs. Their loyalty is unmatched. They are generally fearless, forever comical and puppy like in personality. My Lhasas are self amusing and get the zoomies even into their teens.
They make me smile. Life is hard and little comes easy...but the love of a dog...the love of a Lhasa apso... It truly comes easy. I cannot imagine my life without these beautiful, intelligent little friends.
The video is of my daughter loving on Jamie. After much consideration she is available.

Tomorrow is a very special day. Licorice is going to be somebody's baby. She is such a bundle of love and has so much to give to her new mom. Thank you for everyone that has helped me pray for the perfect person for her. Our adults are so thankful and appreciative of their new moms and dads.
