Bills Mafia, this one is about more than football.
On Sunday, October 4th, join the Bills vs. Patriots watch party at Solitude Brewing Company in Lakeville, NY, with proceeds supporting the Golisano Children’s Hospital Facility Dog Program.
For a child facing hospitalization, procedures, surgery, or a long medical stay, a dog can offer something medicine alone can't always provide: comfort, distraction, courage, companionship, and a little bit of normal childhood. Golisano's planned facility dog program will pair a specially trained dog with a Certified Child Life Specialist to provide goal-directed support to children when they need it most.
These dogs can lie beside a child during a difficult procedure, help motivate a child through therapy, ease fear and anxiety, and bring moments of play and joy into an environment that can otherwise feel overwhelming.
That's why this matters.
Because sometimes healing looks like medicine.
Sometimes it looks like therapy.
And sometimes it looks like a furry face climbing into a hospital room and reminding a child that they're still just a kid. ❤️🐾
