Thank you Turning Pointe Autism Fdn. for having us again this year! We love coming out to support! 🎃

Loving people is a great quality for a
potential Therapy Dog, but there’s more to
the job than being friendly.

Therapy Dogs need to remain calm,
confident, and dependable around
unfamiliar people, environments, sounds,
and distractions.

Dog Training Elite Western Chicago helps
dogs and handlers build the skills needed
for Therapy Dog work.

🎓🐾 DOUBLE THE CELEBRATION, DOUBLE THE SUCCESS! 🐾🎓

Congratulations to our two amazing campers, Harvey & Flip! 🎉

🐾 Harvey the Doberman came to camp to fine tune his basic obedience skills, and we’re so proud of the progress he’s made!

🐾 Flip the Aussie completed our Puppy Program and moved right into Obedience Camp, continuing his journey with the goal of future service work! We can’t wait to see all he accomplishes. 💙

We’re so proud of both of these boys and their hard work throughout camp! Congratulations, Harvey & Flip! 🐶👏

Some dog behaviors can feel a little spooky this
time of year.

Door charging. Toy guarding. Selective hearing
around distractions. Pulling on leash. Howling at
everything outside.

But instead of writing them off as your dog’s
personality, it may be worth asking: What skill is
missing here?

Identifying the gap gives you something you can
actually work on.

No tricks. Just training from Dog Training Elite
Western Chicago.

If one person allows jumping, another
corrects it, and everyone uses different
commands, your dog has to figure out
which rules apply to which person.

Training works better when the household
is on the same page.

At Dog Training Elite Western Chicago, we
help families build clear, consistent
communication that everyone can use.

Sometimes a calm presence can make a meaningful difference.

Therapy Dogs can provide comfort and connection in a variety of settings, from spending time with seniors to visiting
schools, hospitals, and community organizations.

Their job isn’t to perform a medical task. It’s to be a trained, dependable presence for the people they meet.

This is what real-world progress
looks like.

For River, that meant walking
without pulling, listening to
commands, and better behavior
around everyday situations like
the front door. For his family, it
meant seeing a completely
different side of their dog.

Way to go, River! We’re grateful
your family chose Dog Training
Elite Western Chicago.

Repeating the same command over and
over doesn’t automatically make it stronger.

Effective practice has structure. Your dog
needs a clear expectation, good timing, and
consistent follow-through so they can
understand what you’re asking and repeat
the right behavior.

Practice with intention, not just repetition.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We're grateful to be able to train service dogs for veterans, especially through our partnership with Vets Helping Heroes.

As we spend time with family, friends, and our beloved pets, let’s take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day and the heroes who have paved the way for our freedom. 🐾❤️
